Discussion: Armed Trump Supporters Protest Outside Virginia Dem's Campaign Office

Yet another reason why open carry laws are a terrible idea. In last two years we have seen open carry thugs try to suppress freedom of speech and assembly in the context of the gun safety debate. And, in many states, there are no provisions under which such actions can be stopped absent the guys opening fire or actively “muzzling” someone with their weapon.

It won’t surprise me if we see idiots like this camping outside of polling places in minority/blue precincts on election day. If so, will law enforcement and election monitors have any legal recourse to stop them?

They had all day to sit around on a Thursday outside a campaign office? If they’re getting any sort of government benefits, it sure seems like they weren’t looking for work. Your move, social safety net slashers.

Perfect riposte there.

That quote about ignorance breeding fear is the description of virtually every Trump supporter.

No doubt, these guys will also volunteer as poll watchers on election day, following orders from Der Fuhrer.

They think it has merit because their dear leader has hinted that it has merit.

Another unemployed looser who has nothing better to do with his day that to sit around flashing his manhood in a holster protecting what is in his pants from being garbed by Trump.

the only threat is ignorance, and ignorance will breed fear

They’re talking about themselves here, right? Because that’s the only way this makes any sort of sense.

I was going to say the same thing being a resident of the Redneckistan portion of Florida (north of Orlando) I see these same people every day riding in 4 x 4’s with confederate flags flapping in the back. They really should have the caps backward though to fit in around here. As I like to say
Tattoos very popular.
Dental hygiene , not so much

Wonder what would happen if you had a couple of African American guys carrying some big-assed guns outside Trump campaign headquarters. I’m sure that would end well.

I don’t think we have to wonder what would happen to two armed, black Hillary supporters protesting outside of a Republican’s campaign office.

Yup, was gonna write the same exact thing, but you beat me to it.

“If he wants to support his candidate that’s fine, but don’t come here and stare into the office all day.”

Parks told Newsplex that he was not a threat and that he was carrying a gun legally.

“We’re not a threat to anybody, the only threat is ignorance, and ignorance will breed fear,” he said.

do you suppose they stared long enough to look ignorance and fear in the eyes?

Well, they could pass a law saying that open carry is illegal within X distance of a polling place?

Now if these two dudes were black . . .

From the looks of ‘em, I’d guess that they were “armed” with duelin’ banjos and that, between them, they almost have a complete set of teeth.

I suppose that’s possible. It’s outlandishly bizarre that we’re even talking about this at all, isn’t it?
