I do not have a legal background, but I know that many of the regulars on TPM do… can one of you please explain on what grounds she has the right to sue a governor for enforcing a federal law upheld by SCOTUS? It seems to me that by now it would be clear to any court in the country that these are clearly stalling tactics, so at what point do they tell her that enough is enough and dismiss her complaints as frivolous?
I’m sure that there were many errors in that paragraph, but I’m beyond frustrated and not familiar enough with this realm to understand why she is still able to carry on like this.

Kimmie’s lawyers have plans for all the letters of the alphabet.
Hopefully, Plan C is as far as they’ll get, and Bunning will take them out to the woodshed and school them about the Constitution and its secular-based foundation.

It’s past time for her to go back to jail. She removed her signature from the licenses and declared licenses without her signature invalid. That’s all sounds like interference. It also sounds like she’s has decided her religious beliefs trump everyone else’s Constitutional rights.

Bunning is a W appointee who is letting her run amok while she flouts his orders and the law and enjoys the functional equivalent of a “religious exemption.” I doubt he even knows how to find the woodshed and he should definitely be led out back to it for some education himself.

Keep her out of jail and ignore her, thus denying her “martyrdom” status and fund-raising abilities. Meanwhile the licenses are being issued so no loss there. Only question left is for Rowan County voters to decide what services, if any, are they getting for their $80k – and also just what justifies a 7-person County Clerk’s office in a county of only 26,000 residents??

Shorter Kim Davis: The government is forcing me to do my job without inflicting my own religious preferences on other people. That’s not fair. What do you mean I was just supposed to see whether the paperwork matched the legal requirements? I thought it was up to me whether people were allowed to get married or not. If I let them get married GAWD is going to get all confused and think that I approve of gays!
