TX-23 is the district adjacent to mine. I wouldn’t have voted for Hurd this election cycle but his election also wouldn’t upset me because even though he is conservative, he’s a pretty thoughtful one. I’m stuck with Cruz’ ex Chief of Staff Chip Roy who is as tea party as they come and a pretty sorry hackish lackey. Fortunately, he is neutered in a Democratic House.

So nice, a little good news for us El Pasoans/Texans! Will Hurd is likeable and talks a moderate game but votes with the party against his constituents so hopefully bye bye!
