Discussion: AP: White House Pushes Back On Shulkin Claims He ‘Didn’t Resign’

It’s pretty fricking simple. Produce a resignation letter. Failing that produce a person that is empowered to accept a verbal resignation and have them sign an affidavit swearing under penalty of perjury Shulkin verbally informed them he was hereby resigning.

Very simple to clear this up. Show us Shulkin’s letter of resignation. Oh, and permit experts to examine the signature.

As POTUS becomes more obsessed with pushing back on anyone publicly disagreeing with him, things are likely to become more and more frenetic. If the WH has to push back on every disgruntled employee, there won’t be time for much else. If they had just let Shulkin make the rounds, this story could very well have been over by today; now it is likely to last much longer.
You have to wonder if this is part of the plan. If they create enough noise, the faithful won’t be able to hear the actual news.

As mentioned, something as simple as this…

The faithful get their “news” from Fox and Breitbart, so there’s little chance they’ll ever be exposed to what actually happened in the Shulkin removal, or anything else for that matter.

The Trump White House must draw once again on its deep well of credibility.

It’s another case of TwoScoops ordering Kelly to fire Shulkin immediately and damn the facts and procedures. Now that Shulkin is fighting back to hurt Trump’s ability to fill the slot, they are reduced to NOW looking at the rules and…yikes! As with everything else in this eff’ed up administration, only now did they realize the serious mistake they made too late.

I do think Shulkin will prevail and soon. No, he won’t get his old job back but he will make Trump pay dearly in holding up the totally unqualified Navy doc from taking the seat. Here, a long delay helps the already skeptical Congress critters do more due diligence on why they already lean towards telling the Dotard he’s making another serious mistake,.

Nah, all the approrpriate rules will be broken, ignored, rewritten or bent to Trump’s advantage. Some body, be it Congress or a court, will rescue Trump from his idiocy, as the operations of the VA won’t be allowed to be tied up in some Keystone Kop knuckleheaded imbroglio.

Trump not fire this man. Man fire himself. Office man call him and fire man. Man gone.

Actually, we need experts to examine the entire document.

One question that has to be addressed (if a resignation letter even exists) is, “Was this “resignation” post-dated?”

If they had the letter they would have circulated it. Circulating a poison pen memo claiming other lies shows they got nothing.

And yeah, this will probably end up with litigation unless trump’s pick agrees to hearings.

Which in turn will create much closer scrutiny of Cabinet firings/resignations - and the degree to which the admin is following the law in who serves/runs the department during the nomination/senate confirmation process for the new cabinet nominee. Might gum up Trump’s ploy for “ratings” via public debasement via tweet firing of members of his cabinet/advisors.

OT- But murderous pseudo christian “evangelical” Efrain Rios Montt has gone to Hell where he looks forward to reuniting with Jerry Falwell.
