This must be Musical Chairs day this week.
Which can be summed up as a message to Vets best by quoting a certain former VP: “Go Fuck Yourself”
Because a man totally unqualified for office of Energy Secretary is just as unqualified (actually WAY MORE unqualified) for handling the office of VA secretary.
Respect for military veterans… shit man, they gonna have a 30 MILLION dollar parade. What more do they need?
Dolt 45 saw the pictures of pRick while pRick was at A&M
The hairdo and jackboots are what sealed the deal
He’s not replacing people, he’s just shuffling them around. He does realize that there are 330 million people in the country, right?
re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic day
I had to read this to see if Trump was considering Rick Perry or Katy Perry. I thought he thought Rick was too dumb for public office.
My guess is Perry is complaining about the job and wants out. A job he knows nothing about and couldn’t care less.
As Texas Governor kissing babies and signing death warrants for prisoners was more fun.
Rearranging the Cabinet as an LSAT logic puzzle.
Rick Perry:
-
Unequivocally rejects all evidence for global warming.
-
Totally believes in demons, Noah’s ark, and the rapture.
One wonders just how many prospective cabinet officials aren’t returning the dotard’s calls. This level of adjacent hiring from within is, I have to think, extremely unusual.
The refrigerator magnet school of management.
Or maybe it’s like a dinner theater ensemble cast. Everyone gets new a new role every month.
And “Death of a Salesman” feels just like “The Importance of Being Earnest” did.
I’m pretty sure they lost that option when Spicer took the refrigerator with him.
The White House microwaves were unavailable for comment.
…and staying in the closet
(I have known the author of the book for 30+ years. He is 100% credible.)
The great thing about Rick Perry is his versatility. He’s equally unqualified for all Cabinet positions.
…and fresh allegations that he used a member of his security detail to run personal errands.
I guess Chris Christie wasn’t available…
Shulkin may be a dope, and his travel shenanigans were really stupid. Anyone anywhere in government knows how travel is supposed to work.
But he was already at the VA. The political appointees that Trump sent over are no doubt unqualified ideologue zealots working against anything he does and no doubt running back to Trump to rat him out at every turn, like Shulkin alluded to. Other Trump appointees who were not already at their agency brought these same types with them so they were working together to destroy the agency and its work. I read (maybe here) about some gang coming in (at Energy I think) with no interest in the presentations developed to inform the newbies, but just antagonistic to the whole thing and everyone working there already.
It’s one way of insuring no one can play their part well.
Whether that’s just a way of making Dear Leader feel good about himself or a way of making sure no office of the government is competently managed is another question.
