I have friends in that 43% of parents for Trump… but when I’ve asked them if they raise their kids to be like him, they have always tellingly hesitated before mustering enough swagger to say “yes.”
They know he’s an abusive degenerate… but they value what they hope he’ll bring them more than any values they profess to have.
Trump is like wine: It doesn’t change who you are but in high doses, it brings out the real you.
Trump’s hunger for constant attention causes him to relish extreme adoration and hatred towards him. He’s a sociopath.
It’s simple. 100% of thinking people agree with the other 100% of thinking people that we have a despicable, greedy, ignoramus occupying the WH who runs a kleptocracy, and whose children think it’s the beginning of a dynasty Ha!
“I can’t imagine my child being ripped away from me.”
Nice to see this is making an impact, as it should.
Technically it’s a klepto-kakistocracy but your point is well taken.
Given over 2 years to the next Presidential election, I am underwhelmed. Sad.
both say they’re dissatisfied with the two-party system.
I always wonder if a coalition government system might be better than the winner-take-all system that we have.
Someone needs to ask Sarah Sanders at one of the daily briefings whether she would be willing to allow the Trump administration to take her children away from her and put them in walled up WalMart or a tent city without trained, licensed professionals in charge of their care and she could only talk to them if Trump decides she could.
The Prosperity Gospel of the GOP’s Christian Right becomes more horrendous as they deny that it doesn’t. There is something so indecent about this newly crafted, fascist attitude of the Republican Party. It defies morality or our democratic republican institutions. Everything is done for profit including incarcerating children like cattle.
Sounds like unfit parents to me. Good luck having those children take care of them in their old age. They are being raised not to care about anything.
“The president has made clear he loves browns and sometimes blacks and Christians at all times. You’d have to direct those questions to the gentlemen who run ICE.”
Back when I was a kid, they explained why we have to pay taxes starting in, like, third grade. Had a little lesson with a record play about a numbnut who got elected president and eliminated taxes so people could spend more time with their families and less time working and then was shocked when everything had to shut down.
Don’t know if that kind of subject matter is deemed too controversial and partisan to teach now, cut out because Texas writes the text books, passed over because it’s not on a standardized test or whether the kids having his “who the hell is this FICA guy and why does he get my money???” moment slept through it.
I remember learning about tariffs when I was young. Cannot remember whether it was high school or junior high. Never imagined it would have relevance 50+ years later.
Simple. Most people don’t like bullies… especially when they are arrogant asswipes.
Antebellum tariff policy is central to the “the Civil War totally wasn’t about slavery” narrative.
O good. Yes I’m glad to see that too.
I
No.
Goddamn people - the parliamentary systems they use in Europe have not stopped fascism ever and right now it’s being exploited by Putin just like ours. The Brexit anyone? The Populist Fascist coalition in Italy? Hungary?
The founders knew about parliamentary systems and didn’t give us one on purpose.
