LL Bean’s liberal return policy allows returns of anything purchased from Bean, and at anytime. I’ve got a few things to return that I bought last year.
“…a member of the Maine-based outdoors retailer’s board.”
Why anyone representing outdoor retailers would advocate for a political system intent on decimating public land conservation and access is beyond me. This woman apparently lacks a coherent set of principles.
I haven’t shopped LLBean for years, but now I have a reason.
These days my outdoor $$ go to retailers and manufacturers who are willing to openly advocate for public lands. Retailers are a little hard to find, but manufacturer advocates are not. I am not going to name them here (okay - Black Diamond, Osprey, Patagonia, Jack’s Plastic Welding, Alpacka) because it probably violates some TMP policy, but they’re out there. Find them. And support them!
…you can take back that goofy orangey-thingey that you got back in November…
Bean’s quality has fallen into Cabella territory.
In contrast, Patagonia has good stuff and they repair it to extend its useful life. The best customer service I’ve experienced. Plus 1% of profit goes to the planet.
When this goes ‘viral’… at least Governor LaPage will still shop there.
Well they don’t retail the outdoors, just some stuff that can be used there if you chose, but I’d bet a lot of folks, if not the majority, that buy their stuff hardly step foot outside, particularly into the wilds.
REI is good
@mahniah: too right - I’m gonna start collecting all that crap (mostly gifts from clueless relatives who know I camp and hike) and back it goes.
PAC Chairman David Jones says the group was supposed to be registered as a super PAC with unlimited contributions and it will look into the issue.
Did this guy get his start with the Trump Foundation’s law firm?
Just cut to the chase …
