Discussion: AP FACT CHECK: Nope, Manufacturing And Coal Are Not Rebounding

What kinds of expanding service work job are we seeing? Pizza delivery in a 12 year old car is the profession of the future. Minimum wage (for the time being) and an occasional Dollar tip will make America grate parmesan again.

Welcome to reality: America is moving towards a service-based economy and there is no going back.

In short, everything is a lie.
But, mere lie listing doesn’t accomplish much as its release usually occurs within a bout of fresh news cycle lying.
Watching actions by principles and those related to principles, as with the Kushner China visa example, is better less direct manner of reporting and highlighting this massive, intentional, directed corruption.

Point taken. But particularly coming from the oh-so-balanced AP, this’ll still leave a mark.

No question.
The new French President may be as young a Napoleon but Trump seemingly has a lock on Napoleonic PR for the time being.
As with your spot on realization that simple notation by a news agency such as the Associated Press in this corrupted age is important in and of itself.
I would also urge consideration of the ‘carbon copy’ of existence the web affords along with something that will continue to grow in importance over time, rock-solid time-stamps.

But low wages is good news. It means that “dollar stores” will be popping up everywhere. And those cash registers need minimum-wage-paid operators to rake in all those dollar bills.

And just think of all the opportunities being created in the Parmesan grater sharpening industry.

I don’t think anyone except for the Koolaid drinkers really believed coal was going to rebound — at least not for workers. If the mines are opened up more, the owners will install machines, not manpower. It was all a mirage.

There may have been more people who believe in a resurgence of manufacturing, but that is also a long row to hoe. It’ll never really go back to post-WWII levels for a variety of reasons. It’s nice to dream, but most of it is pipe-dreaming.

What about Romano? Many Italians prefer Romano to Parmesan.

and NOT ONE WORD of all of this will be spoken on ANY of the National News Broadcasts. It may be in some obscure AP story buried on page 23 of section D of the Sunday edition in the big city papers, but the general populace will NEVER hear any of it.
They will only hear the self-congratulatory ads on FOX News and the Lavish Tongue-Baths given by the AM Radio Propagandists and they will BELIEVE because that is what they have been programmed to do.

Ain’t no Republican gonna admit they eat something that starts with “Pecor”.

“Contacted by AP, White House spokeswoman Natalie Strom said Sanders misspoke about the source of job growth.”

Misspoke: a euphemism for got caught lying.

Responsible news broadcasts would cease to report any Trumpp Admin statements without first doing a fact check so that any [insert any of the numerous euphemisms that people have used to avoid using “lies”] can be pointed out and corrected at the time the lie is reported.

“Responsible news broadcasts” went extinct in the 1980s, killed off by the Reagan admin.

This example of competent, informative and informed reporting was produced by The Associated Press.
