Discussion for article #243942
Ooops. Why, oh why, did you do it, Bernie? Can’t get enough traction in the polls? Or what?
I don’t think this was Bernie, per se. He has a lot of youngish devoted people on staff. I think they saw the opportunity and went with it. It was a mistake and one of them has been fired already. Certainly the “we saw the breach and wanted to know how much information could have been accessed by the Clinton campaign” excuse was lost once they downloaded information. I really want to see how Bernie handles this from here out.
NOTE: Suing the DNC is not handling it the way I think he should.
Looks like intentional theft.
No respect for the Sanders campaign after today’s shenanigans.
I like Bernie. I like him, a lot. But, this is bad. All four needed to be fired immediately, not just one. Bernie needs to make sure that the data is removed from his system permanently and returned to the DNC. Also, suing the DNC is a bad move. I can understand the DNC having some serious trust issues and cutting him off until things can be done in a more secure manner seems like the right call to me.
Well, this explains the news conference by the campaign manager…they are trying to accuse the DNC of doing bad to cover them doing bad, and what they did is a bad thing. Finding the security hole leads to a phone call/email if you want it fixed. Downloading data after finding the hole is not the way to show there is a problem with the security. The news is that only the Sanders campaign accessed and downloaded data, if that holds true then they have really hurt Sanders…his campaign is based on being clean, and this is not the action of a clean campaign and needs to be dealt with properly to keep the faith.
Oh come on, W-S is a smarmy little weasel. This smacks of a Nixonian Ratf___ing.
