‘Threatened’ ?

Junior, and other like-(simple)minded individuals should think seriously before getting into a twitter fight or any other kind of verbal skirmish with AOC.

And right wing media will pretend that she never apologized. They’ll just scream about the “unprecedented threats” and “viciousness” from AOC. They’ll also suggest that as a woman, she’s too emotional and too prone to respond to responsible criticism with a tweet. And not a one will see the irony.

We’ll see incoming Dems temper their hubris and provocative statements. Being unnecessarily antagonistic and courting controversy isn’t needed when you’re in the majority. Be the glacier, not the snow storm.

Winners spend about 5 minutes admiring their trophy and then realize there’s another season to prepare for.

Junior’s protest makes him look very guilty. Such a Bad Little Boy.

She does what the Trumps claim to do–hit back harder. So I’m going to refrain from offering her fatherly advice. She’s doing fine without it.

I like AOC!!! But, honestly, she should quit apologizing for what she says so much. What she says is what it is.

Eh, I’d say it’s only framed as an apology. She’s calling him a cowardly whiner.

What she says is what it is. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

How nice to see a politician having fun!

She is not yet the chair or high ranking member of any Committee with subpoena power. She is not going to be issuing a single subpoena herself.

I am a constituent who gladly voted for her in the Primary against Crowley and the Election. She needs to stop. Really.

I could probably be her father, too. My son is just slightly younger than her.

Insulting a member of a group with subpoena powers after everyone knows you lied - I’m glad she pointed out the sheer stupidity of that.

Or they’ll spin it that by apologizing she caved and backed off, like dems always do. Either way, she’s an evil c*nt, so repugs win.

I’d like to see her channel Michelle Obama a little more: when they go low, we go high.
Junior used a bizarre meme to try to attack her. Rather than responding by adding fuel to the fire, she might consider pointing out how pathetic his attempts are. If they’re supposed to be humorous, they’re not. If they’re supposed to be truthful, they’re not. If they’re supposed to be offensive, they are only to the extent they show how lame he is. Nail him and similar ‘critics’ by taking them at their word and punching holes in the absurdities they spout.

Do not apologize to these vermin, ever. They’ll just insult you more.

And it was good legal advice. Stop that, too. They have the BEST lawyers, like Crazy Uncle Rudy.

Even her apology stung harder than jr’s ham handed insult. Good for her, she’s quick enough on her feet not to need paternalistic hand holding, I agree with your interpretation #mattinpa

Sorry, Don Jr. is not a person worthy of an apology. Either way what with all these Trumptards that are turning into snowflakes overnight?

If that’s how you feel as a voter then I guess that’s more a thing she might consider. But she’s been treated as a celebrity and an emblem of a new wave of lawmakers, so if they ask her to comment on things to me it’s not her fault. Also sheesh, everything in this new House is being triple-scrutinized as if political conflict were some astonishing new thing that just fell from the skies a week ago. What did we vote for them to do, exactly? It’s going to get bumpy, and no initial surface modesty will change that much.

I do remember reading a million years ago about how Hillary came on real strong as a new Senator. It wasn’t received well, less as a gender thing than a new-Senator thing, it didn’t fit the culture, so she backed up, learned the ropes, formed friendships and alliances, and eventually became quite well liked and effective. If AOC needs to be lower-profile I imagine she’ll figure that out soon enough. Seems like a quick study to me.
