If someone threw a brick then prosecute them based on the evidence you have. Selectively fishing for comments on a website should be unconstitutional and will probably be a waste of time. Hopefully the courts get this right on appeal and tell the DOJ to get lost.

Well it’s still too broad because it is a fishing expedition. I can’t imagine how they possibly narrowed it down if they still want what they were always asking for.

The question answers itself. Of course the DOJ hasn’t sought the Unite the Right records. Sessions’ DOJ couldn’t give a flying fuck about pursuing white supremacists and neoNazis becuase Sessions is and always has been either one of them or seriously sympathetic to their cause.

What you’re going to hear from Talk Radio, Fox News, et al, is that this is equivalent to what GoDaddy, Pay Pal, etc. did to alt-right groups. What they will gloss over completely is the fact that, if some company doesn’t want to put up with your crap anymore, it isn’t a violation of Free Speech. It’s a business decision. This, on the other hand, is exactly what the First Amendment was about.
They already have the names of people who were arrested by the DC Police for breaking windows, setting fires, etc. They can get warrants for the organizers. Can’t imagine how a higher court doesn’t find this request over-reach and unconstitutional.

Maybe I missed something, but I thought the DOJ withdrew this subpoena? Or was that some other odious and offensive request for information on the resistance?
