Good!!
Karma can be a bitch!!!
Now he understands what millions of Americans suffer (dealing with huge medical bills) and what they fear.
“It is difficult and humbling to say that we need your help, but we do.”
His medical bills will get taken care of. His hateful friends and followers will come to his rescue. Many Americans wont be/isn’t so fortunate.
And has anyone pointed out to him that ACA is already health crowdfunding by spreading the costs over a wider net and therefore not bankrupting anyone while simultaneously increasing the connections to one’s fellow countrymen and women?
It’s like a classical tragedy in which the protagonist suffers a reversal of fortune caused by a character flaw—in this case, the flaw of being a fucking idiot.
“unite all public servants and sheriffs, to keep their word to uphold, defend, protect, preserve, and obey the Constitutions of the United States of America”
I didn’t realize there were more than 1
Why can’t he and his wife just go to the emergency room, like Mitt and Ted Cruz suggested?
They already went to the emergency room. They ONLY now realize that after going to the emergency room you will still need to pay your medical bills…
Well, well, well…
Hmm… apparently he didn’t bother signing up for health insurance through the exchange, and he must have refused any pension benefits when he was an active sheriff. So now he’s paying the price (or begging for money) for his stupidity. Sucks to be him. No, I don’t have any sympathy.
Mack surely had health insurance while he was a sheriff. The story doesn’t say why he didn’t get insurance after he left his position, but doing so just seems like the thing that responsible, statist-hating 'Murrikins should do instead of just hope against hope that nothing happens to him (or his wife). Because, apparently, applying for Medicare/Medicaid isn’t an option for this fellow.
Nobody should endure the kinds of stress caused by worry over paying for major illnesses and that was a major factor in pushing for ACA.
One can sympathize with that burden.
One cannot sympathize with zealotry so profound he would sooner endure this for himself and his family when help is available.
One never ceases to be amazed at how much visceral hatred like this blinds people to rational decision making.
If it had been Romneycare, he might be a member…but then again, this guy seems so deep in the weeds ideologically that even Mittster would be viewed as a socialist tool.
Maybe a stay in the FEMA camps followed by the death panels will solve the problem.
Oh, they did. That’s how they got those bills.
I posted before I read yours.
Are you suggesting that the only alternative to Obamacare that the Republicans have thus far suggested has flaws?
Crowdfunding. Isn’t that just another form of socialism?
Did he pay the penalty?
