I dunno… not a smart move on the judge’s part, but seeing the picture takes a little bit of the bite out the story. Clearly this is one where Band of Brothers meets Not Great Taste in Memorabilia.
If you think about it anyone that thinks himself or herself suited to being a Judge has got to be wacko. How arrogant and full of yourself can you be? And folks like that do shit like this because they are incapable of seeing wrong or flaw in themselves. My personal philosophy has been to avoid the psycho’s at all costs. Any deal made without a Judge has got to be better than one with.
My friend, your statement is 100% normal. But there is something vitally important to point out.
Something that some Latinos call “forma de ser”. It involves personality and, in a deeper sense, I guess it’s “what makes someone tick”.
The Baggers, Confederates and other Righties have the types of personalities which give them a tremendous advantage over people with more benign personality configurations, like most Democrats.
- They enjoy fighting
- They enjoy having enemies
- They enjoy the concept of basic human inequality and feel little discomfort in others (especially the
so-called “inferiors” being aware of it IN THEIR PRESENCE) - They enjoy the emotion of hate and can go to sleep peacefully after blasts of emotional excrement
which would cause loving people like my wife to collapse in a heap - Their emotional vectors are strong and they need little “motivation” to get their people to “come out”
to vote - Their logic is extremely tangential to facts and reality.
This is the kind of situation that Boomers like me allowed Murdoch and Ailes to foist upon the United States.It did not help either that we were asleep when the MSM self-destructed in a tsunami of profit-gorging…jettisoning too many decent men and women from the journalistic profession.
Most importantly, we have done very little with younger people.
Who are going to have to clean up this mess.
I started reading TPM, because I was dismayed by the overly pessimistic doomsday journalism of too many Progressive websites. TPM had spunk, fight and sass. The posters, especially.
As I have said before, the 2012 election was bearable, for me, because of the posters, their spirit and their information. But I had already been reading the site years ago–as I would howl at some of the humour displayed here. All with spirit, intelligence and grit.
You are one of those who played a part in my even having hope that the U.S, had not succumbed to the Money Machine that these guys have in store for us. I calculated that the Chammys and the Darrs CAME from communities (both geographical and intellectual) and that for every poster here, there were those who loved them, nurtured them and made their live meaningful
I, too, have to break from these Baggers for sanity. They are, presently, not thinking people, but automatons carrying out a script that Ailes and people like him thought out years and years ago.
But they have to be stopped.
This is not Latin America. There will be no coup, like the ones which topple too may of our (Latin American) governments. It’s all voting…and the way things look, we are going to need all hands on Deck.

A spokesman for Day dismissed the complaint about the Hitler photo and told the news outlet that the judge was honoring World War II veterans, not the Nazi dictator.
Seems a picture of FDR would have made more sense but we all know how these authoritarian wingnut conservatives think about that liberal pantywaist that was elected to the Presidency a mere four times.

Honey, I swear just had an Ashley Madison membership so that I could visit the site to excoriate the moral laxity of people visiting the site. And, sure, I would give some of the female members a bit of personal excoriation from time to time.
