Discussion: Anthony Weiner Released From Prison

The man who would have been Mayor.

It’s strange. I was never one of his constituents. I’m not even a New Yorker, but I still feel like he broke my heart. He was smart and scrappy, and he was on a progressive mission. I wanted him to be my congressman.

He could have been on top of the world, but he fucked it all up. He couldn’t stop fucking it up.

Here’s hoping he keeps a low profile for at least a while. (almost said keeps his head down) We don’t need Carlos Danger right now…the original Anthony we thought we knew would be great right about now. But the real one needs to just zip it.

For the moment.

He was a honey badger extraordinaire. I loved watching him do interviews on Fox News and his floor speeches trying to get first responders health care was something to see. All that other stupid crap he did broke my heart too, but I hope he gets his life back together and stays out of trouble and yes, keeps a low profile. He was AOC when AOC was still a kid. When Andrew Brietbart, the first to take him down, dropped dead that day, I rejoiced.

Yes, me too. I absolutely loved when he refused to let the people on Fox call the estate tax a “death tax”.

KELLY: I don’t have a five million dollar estate, I’d like to someday, but if I work all my life and I pay my taxes on my income and then I die and I want to pass on what it would be great if it were a $5 million estate to my kids, why should I pay the government again? Why should there be a 35 or 45 or 55 percent tax on that again?

WEINER: You aren’t paying anything in that case because you’ll be dead. …
