Well DUH!
Just dont call it Obamacare and youāll be fineā¦
Should put up Big Billboards in Texas thanking them for their ACA tax-dollars.
Love,
New York, Massachusetts, California
Good luck on that guys. Youāve been priming the anti-Obamacare pump for years now; thereās no reason to believe that the legislatures of these red states are gonna suddenly see the light now.
āUnder the plan, enrollees would have to make small co-payments and those above the poverty line would have monthly premiums.ā
Is there any reason for this other than spite? Requiring small co-payments of the poor often results in care not being sought.
Just so. I donāt think thereās much reason for optimism, certainly in Texas, where the new nutcase governor has already vowed that he will never let the evil Obummercare get a toehold in his paradise of cowboy-hatted freedom.
Itās so they can say theyāre being ideologically pure and not giving the poor āfree stuffā ā 'cause, yāknow, only the rich can get free stuff from government, paid for with other peopleās tax dollars.
Heck with them. I like it that my tax dollars donāt go to support a bunch of people who would just as soon see me die.
The ultimate honesty is about to show through. The red state Govs could care less about their constituents, especially the commoners but they sure as hell canāt swallow giving away ātheirā money.
If they can find a way to charge the poor to receive the benefits that the plan actually is intended to afford them so that they can take back the funds that the plan actually means to charge them, then they will begrudgingly and only after mucho procrastination and going to all ends to get out of, albeit unsuccessfully, give in and do the expansion thing so that they can have ātheirā funds back.
Healthcare, the goal of the ACA, is hardly a Republican concern. They know where the slush funds are and arenāt about to allow debits to their slush.
Yes, they emphasize the dollars over the people. Also, they only accept it if their insurance company friends can get a cut from their hybrid option Medicaid expansion.
Alaskaās new governor, Bill Walker, who was elected as an independent, wants to expand Medicaid too. He will need the cooperation of a heavily Republican state legislature.
Wyoming? This could give Dick Cheney a heart attack.
(fingers crossed)
The thing is that these ass wipes saw the light along time ago. Their problem isnāt weather this is a good program the problem is that Barack Obama gets the credit for it.
Meanwhile their "trickle down economics "is not working in their states and Mr Obamaās ACA is going to be able to rescue their economy.
I hope they are keeping a close eye on Kansas where governor Brownbackās trickle economics strategy failed miserably.
āDo we choose to have that Wyoming money be returned to Colorado, California or Wyoming?ā he continued. āI say Wyoming.ā
Any rational person would think that this is patently obvious, but hatred of the Black/Kenyan/Muslim/Socialist/Communist/Usurper trumps everything in most red states.
See, that is just honesty. It isnāt like everyone but the fruitcakes that enjoy being shat upon by their leaders donāt understand.
Put it this way, if the Republican Govs werenāt gaining financially, would they help out the people with a better health plan or at least Obamacare? Iāll wait apparently for that example.
Translation: like most red states, despite our tough guy talk about getting the federal government of our backs, we are moochers at the federal teat, being subsidized by the blue states who pay more into the feds than they get back, the exact opposite of us. Why should this area be any different?
Eustace would call it āabject moochery!!!oine!!!ā
Drip, drip, dripā¦I guess theyāre going to stop calling it āObamacareā in 3ā¦2ā¦
So Dick Cheney and his daughter and Alan Simpson, etc., who have more money than pretty much everyone who lives there, arenāt paying enough into Social Security ( by a long shot) to ensure that āthose peopleā can have affordable health care.
