Discussion: Another Former Staffer Accuses Conyers Of Sexual Misconduct

This appears to be going down hill fast for Rep Conyers. Small aside as more allegations surface, WAPO had a false accuser show up yesterday and I see that TMP has additional info regarding said story (that I will read shortly), but candidly, this is really starting to muddy the waters on the #MeToo deal.

Sounds like Conyers’ male aides were also improperly influenced by his actions. And
“I needed to earn a living, and I was 57. How many people are going to hire you at that age?” she told the Detroit News.

Right there is the only thing most women need to say when someone asks them, “why did you stay?”

Now Pelosi says that she believes at least one woman who said she was abused by Rep. John Conyers while working for him two decades ago.

So why isn’t she calling for Conyers to resign now?

Either Pelosi knew that sexual harrassers and abusers were paying-off their victims using taxpayer money or she didn’t know. Either through ignorance or negligence, she enabled and allowed a culture of sexual abuse and cover-up to fester for the entire time she has been in leadership.

Republican or Democrat, elected government officials who enabled, committed, condoned, or covered-up sexual harassment and abuse while in office need to step down. Now.

And that means you, Nancy.

It’s seems most unusual that no republican congress critters have had anyone step up yet because you just know they are riddled with the same problem. Perhaps it falls under the category of party over country even in this instance.

How predictable.
