Yes. Thirty-fifth turnover since Inauguration 2017.

Slow and steady, step by step, district by district.

I think the results show how disgusted Republicans are with gop. They are staying home.

Democrat Mike Revis defeated GOP nominee David Linton Tuesday night by a 4-point margin in a seat Trump had carried with 61 percent to 33 percent of the vote just over a year ago … That’s a major swing

Yeah, that qualifies

Yes, and the Ds are more enthused this cycle.

@hychka

ETA: I appears that it was a very low turnout election. The D won with only 1787 votes total, whereas in 2016, the R won with 11,516 votes out of 15,482. (This was against a Libertarian; the Ds didn’t have a candidate even.) So I am dead wrong about D enthusiasm.

The most important elections this year are to the state legislatures. We are where we are today in part because of how many state governments the GOP won in 2010. By controlling the redistricting process for a decade they gamed both the legislatures and the US House. If we want to change that next decade, we need to flip state legislatures. That journey has already started. It needs to take a big step forward this year.

Meanwhile, the Republicans in Congress seem to be hell-bent on becoming a smaller tent, cleaving slavishly to the Feebleminded Fraudster because they fear alienating his base. I suppose they think that will insulate them from primary challenges. But it seems to me to be a recipe for disaster in the mid-term elections. I would like to know more about what is happening at the level of state legislatures – are the Republicans there as cowed by the ā€œbaseā€ as their counterparts in Congress? Has the party truly been captured by the Dotard and his base?

Great news! Plus, I just heard on NPR, that Steve Knight and Rohrbacher are polling badly in California. :+1:

FatNixon already started his Dotardsplaining about the upcoming wave when he was in Ohio. He claimed that people are getting complacent because of so much winning and his yuge base probably won’t come out to vote this November.

Of course, the number of votes that will be cast will be further Dotardsplained as evidence of more so-called illegals voting. And by illegals, he means Democrats, disloyal Independents and not yet fully braindead 'pubs.

They are both underwater, apparently. Couldn’t happen to a nicer couple of guys.

Considering Rohrbacher’s intimate connections with questionable Ruskies, he might as well free up his time for court.

The tightening in the generic congressional ballot worries me and should worry you, but I’ll take actual election results over generic polls every day and twice on Tuesdays.

This simple yet effective action has been incredibly successful in getting folks out to vote and flipping these seats.

Dear Editor, Missouri is a big state with many legislative districts. Where is the one mentioned in this article located?

Throw the bums out!

Run for office- and run FOR something! Don’t just run against Trump. You’ll either be preaching to the choir or confirming, in some people’s minds, that all ā€˜librals’ are out to get their man.

Don’t just run on lofty campaign ideals, either- get REAL specific. You want to run on jobs or healthcare reform or the new landfill? You must have a plan. THEN you can point out the difference between having a plan and promising to work on a plan sometime in the future.

Remember 7 years of promises to ā€˜repeal and replace’? Turns out they didn’t have a plan and rushed to a secret hidey hole for 2 whole weeks, cobbling together a 2-legged tripod.

Do better than this. PLEASE! Run for office!

I think, unfortunately, the tightening was bound to happen considering that time has passed since the first generic ballot. As the midterms approach, enthusiasm will increase again, I’m sure of it.
