This is the evidence locker where we store the rethuglicans hypocrisy, to be dealt with later.
This one act, if undertaken by a Democratic majority, would result in years of legislative investigations.
Yeah, but doesnât she understand she has the resources of the Russian FSB arrayed against her? Manchurian Donnie is on the case!
Are these the same files the chinese trousered a couple years ago?
And really, CLF. FOIA request? Couldnât you just claim it was sent to you by a whistleblower and that you were sending it to reporters for vetting?
She should ask publicly if her opponents got this from the Russians.
I think youâre right about the reported hacking - but we donât know who else might have taken advantage of the same security flaws.
(If the Chinese do get involved in our elections, they would be hurting the pro-Trump candidates.)
They obviously picked the wrong ex-CIA Official to play dirty tricks on.
It doesnât help that theyâve applied a facepalm level of stupidity to the mix. Sent an email to a journalist directly from CLF, with her un-redacted application attached?
Because, FOIAâŚ? That answer is very similar in character to Trump saying he canât show us his tax returns because heâs being audited. IRS says thatâs no reason. FOIA is no reason to have this information.
Add a few more people to the GOP criminal conspirators list. They will need to rename that party soon to the LRU. âLawbreakers R UsââŚ
Really not sure about that. If they are working with Russia (and it seems they have become much closer allies of late), they may be supporting the Trumpkins to continue the destabilization of our country.
Unlike Mexico, and possibly Canada, I donât see China budging one iota re: trade war. They do have the rest of the world to trade with. When it comes to mucking with our politics, I think theyâll err on the side of creating more chaosâŚ
We are back on a âRepublicans scramble to destroy democracyâ stretch. It is as predictable as Trump tweeting something stupid. Before they get their legs under them more legal disasters will hit and they will again be back on their heels, trying to blame their newest punching bag, Ohr, for whatever ails them.
Amid the talk about blue waves, campaign funding and polls, letâs not forget the Republicans have the entire government federally and 2/3 of the state governments at their disposal in the coming battles. She is indeed a canary in the coal mine - the Republicans have proven with their support of Trump and their acceptance of Russian interference that there is simply no line they will not cross to win in November. No line. The media will not catch up to this for years.
Republican corruption on full display. Some Republican operatives need to go to prison and the group in possession of the form needs to deep six it.
There is simply no limit to the corruption of the GOP.
This is a huge story and it is buried. I could care less about McGahn. We knew he was out the door when Flood was brought on board.
After reading Joshâs âpull the threadâ note on this topic, I thought of another thing of potential importanceâŚ
OK maybe the source was the Post Office. Maybe it was an administrative oversight, yes, those things happen.
Itâs another thing entirely to take what is an illicitly acquired classified document and push it into the public domain. When something that sensitive arrives, one should immediately send it back up the chain as an inappropriately âleaked documentâ.
In a similar vein to this: When the Russians indirectly approached Don Jr. et al with Clinton dirt, the response should have been to immediately shut it down and notify the FBI.
When a CIA Case Officerâs classified and un-redacted application hits your desk, you do the same. You donât hand it to the press.
Once again, the GOP demonstrates that itâs more in service to Party than to Country.
Again, in any other administration this would be a monumental political scandal. For Trump, itâs just Wednesday and nobody cares.
If there are no more lines to cross, one has become Evil.
And naturally, that smarmy, smirking schmuck,Brat says: âOoooh, I know nothing about this. My campaign would certainly never stoop so low, but possibly Ms. Spanberger did this herself to try to smear me.â
It is my understanding that these documents are not subject to FOIA requests, for obvious security reasons.
They didnât necessarily get this data themselves or from the government. This data is already out there somewhere for millions of us.
