Discussion for article #233551
Who are the donors of Rove’s super PAC. We don’t know because there is no transparency. The Clinton foundation has transparency and it is a non profit organization that gives out billions of dollars to third world countries. What does Rove’s super PAC do?
From their history waste alot of money on loosers
Yawn. We’ll be seeing a lot of this. The GOP/Teatrolls know their only hope is trying to convince liberals not to vote…or at least not to vote for the most likely to win nominee.
More “divide and conquer” from the Grand Old Plutocrats (GOP) party.
Question: were these comments from Warren made specifically on the donations to the Clinton foundation, or were they made addressing donations to campaign organizations?
Hmmm . . . campaign donations. Yep, that’s a conversation we’d like to have.
BINGO!
A classic strategy. And sadly, I fear many progressives/liberals will fall for it. Many are already pitting Sen. Warren against Hillary, hoping Elizabeth runs. The GOP is watching this, hoping to capitalize.
Very politically savvy and cheap for American Crossroads to use a stark, dark and ultimately unflattering photo of HRC seated next to a sheikh while pointing out that the foundation is the the root of all evil. The fear factor on the part of the Rs has increased since they’re coming to the realization she will be the candidate and Warren will not be running but staying in the Senate to round up the left on the candidate’s behalf.
The party of Citizens’ United and unlimited spending from billionaire plutocrats and corporations, that fight against regulations tooth and nail in regards to campaign financing, from any and all special interests and independent donors says what???
The Republican hypocrisy is absolutely stunning. The incongruity with their own flagrant disregard for trying to obtain big money for their own campaigns is particularly galling and also wooden-headed. This is laughable.
Where’s that wonderful picture of GWB with the King of Saudi Arabia in full-on kiss mode? Now that is one for the ages! A Secretary of State with foreign leaders pictured really isn’t much of a statement. Anyone that doesn’t realize that is as brain-dead as whoever made this commercial.
Yes, sadly too many Democrats fall into the trap of doing the Republicans’ dirty work for them.
The GOP base wouldn’t be the GOP base if they weren’t brain dead.
hm really rove why dont you tell us about how much money georgie got from ther bin laudin family for his clusterphuck of a comp harkin oil ya know the one he was going to be charged with 4 counts of insider tradeing before his daddy put the investigation in the crapper…
Setting up a tit for tat response is GOP SOP.
"What about_____?! Even the liberal ______ agrees!
This is flexible enough to cover several issues including mega donor money and offshore accounts. All of this lovingly wrapped dems=terrorist meme and stuffed with an appeal to divide and suppress dem turnout.
Rove is a blight on our political process.
Why is TPM running this “story?” Especially sans relevant facts, for example that the Saudis have been giving to the Clinton Foundation since 2001 when no reasonable donor could have expected a 2008 or 2016 Clinton campaign? Or without putting the facts in context, by mentioning, for example, that many foreign governments give to many charitable foundations, e.g., the Carter Center, because their development goals align? http://www.cartercenter.org/resources/pdfs/news/annual_reports/annual-report-13.pdf
I’m sure TPM would take a far different approach if Republicans were attacking Elizabeth Warren.
As it is, this story gives the impression that American Crossroads attacks are both serious and unanswerable.
Ah yes, here it is:

I see Karl Rove and Company were pretty pleased with themselves back in the day when they helped orchestrate this lovefest. Just another Bush-whacked project for him to undertake…this time on Jeb Bush’s behalf.
Oh, and here’s an oldie but goodie…
From Wikipedia:
[Prince] Bandar has formed close relationships with several American presidents, notably George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, the latter giving him the affectionate and controversial nickname “Bandar Bush”. His particularly close relationship with the Bush family was highlighted in Michael Moore’s documentary Fahrenheit 9/11. He was reportedly so close to George H. W. Bush that he was often described as a member of the former president’s family. He advocated Saddam Hussein’s overthrow in Iraq in March 2003. He encouraged military action against Iraq and supported Dick Cheney’s agenda for “The New Middle East”, which called for pro-democracy programs in both Syria and Iran. Additionally, Prince Bandar’s children supposedly attended the same school where Cheney’s grandchildren were enrolled.
No conflict of interest to be found there, I’m sure…(cough, cough).
I am a Hillary doubter- but if the repugs do this- they will have assured my vote for Hillary in the election.
And Rove really doesn’t think it matters that Liz is going to rip him a blood-spewing new one for using money provided by the very people she was talking about to convey a message about a charitable foundation that’s does more good in ten minutes than Rove has done his whole life.
