The G.O.P. is the party of mean-spirited, vindictive, punitive policies. Why should their primaries be any different?

Perhaps Rep. Amash is being hypocritical or disingenuous?
More than a bit?
I can understand why a candidate of Mr Amash’s “calibre” might snub and demean his opponent in the course of a victory speech. But this is hardly “standing up to a bully.” Amash got his fee-fees hurt during a typical political mano a mano between two obligatory GOTP knuckle-draggers and after he won, had to indulge himself with, metaphorically speaking, a stylized penis display; an age old primate tradition. Whatever happened to “if you can’t stand the heat in the kitchen…” or just invoke the newly minted “Obama ritual shoulder brush.”

Even in victory the repubs are casting themselves as victims.
