If they want to help bring Hastert the full measure of humiliation and disgrace that he deserves, great! If not, they deserve their privacy.
At the very least, Hastert will be pooping a brick every day between now and the hearing, worrying these people might show up. A bit more justice delivered.
To the extent someone can emotionally handle it, I think they should speak out. The shame is on the victim, not the perp.
Last I heard Hassert had a stroke and was quite ill. Any updates on that?
gop is having a bit of a bad run, what?

Unfortunately, that is too often the way it’s experienced by both targets (I don’t like the term victim), and perpetrators.
The perpetrators feel like victims and the targets often feel responsible for what happened and therefore ashamed.
An important part of treatment is correcting these perceptions and helping both parties see the issues more clearly, ideally with the perpetrator taking responsibility for their actions, and the target understanding that regardless of what they did, or felt about what happened, the perpetrator is solely responsible for the harm that was caused and any confusion experienced by the target.
Or could not.

People have a right to safeguard themselves and their families. We don’t need guns. With information, we can protect ourselves.
Speaking from experience, yes?
Ah, the party of family values and personal responsibility!
About 25 years of working trying to both understand and address the problem.
Hastert Rule: Please remind voters that Hastert broke US banking Laws to pay hush money to former students he had sex with.
