Discussion: All Of Trump's Insults From The Thursday Debate

Discussion for article #246520

The level of discourse actually makes me pine for the days of $ister $arah and her word salads. These are grown men running for an incredibly important position that requires a certain degree of intelligence and maturity … none of which were on display in this “debate.” I can get better discourse watching the chimps fling their feces at each other at the zoo.

Kasich is being attacked this morning for his comments on ‘Christian’ bakers, florists. You would have thought my governor had finally found the correct patronizing tone for those doing business in the public square. Sell ‘those people’ what they want, then pray for the unclean reprobates. But no, the professional religious class can’t have that. Because this is not really about the florist or baker shunning a potential customer. This is about a firewall of so-called “Religious Freedom/Liberty” the tax dependent professionals in religiously affiliated hospitals, schools, etc. are trying to erect so they may reach into a taxpayer’s wallet, but deny that citizen services.

Chris Wallace on local TV today called them a “disgrace to the party” and said they were “acting like fools.” True, yes. But I thought I’d never see the day.

The problem is, as rude and obnoxious (and unqualified to be President) as Trump is, I agree with everything you quote here. Trump is giving a lot of very angry and disaffected people a voice. The GOP is going to have to figure this one out, and fast. But I suspect they are too late.

Trump’s cousin dragged him through the mud in his Jan. 20, 2016 obituary.

They may appear to be insults, but much of that is the truth. I especially like Trump calling out Rubio on selling his house to a lobbyist. It’s the kind of under the table corruption that doesn’t often get exposed.

Trump really missed an opportunity there - “I wipe my ass with $380,000, you need it just to put beans on the table…”

Can someone tell me what a “choke artist” is? Because the only thing I can think of involves David Carradine.

Good one. Wish it was true.

We’re talking about the birther candidate here. Doesn’t have to be true. On the other hand, it would make no difference to his supporters. Jesus Christ could descend from Heaven and proclaim donald is evil, and they would pay no attention, calling it a hoax.

The Hugh Hewitt put-down was priceless and cut to poor Hugh’s bitter, little soul.

I watched about 20 minutes of that debate, and it made me genuinely sad for the country. If the GOP ever stood for anything good – and I’m not sure that’s the case – it is well past its expiration date.

The untold story of the debate and all with old HW sitting there watching the fruits of his life’s labors…The juice lost in the rote cliché gloss.

I know! If I hadn’t known it was Trump saying these things, I would have stood and cheered.

My son is convinced that Trump is trolling the GOP. Maybe he’s not wrong.

For the second time (I said it last night).

If it were not for the MSM stenographers, Trump would be no more influential as a Presidential candidate than the customer ahead of you at the WalMart.

The Three Stooges were comic greats. Trump, Rubio and Cruz aren’t even second bananas.

Honestly, I have to confess I find myself cheering Trump on sometimes…
