Excellent. I think it flies too.
I did wonder about that. I expect that the Democrats would be perfectly comfortable asking questions of both Kavanaugh and Ford, so it will be incongruous if the Republicans defer to an outside counsel while the Democrats do their own questioning.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a member of the committee, confirmed Tuesday that rather than ask questions himself on Thursday, âIâm going to let the professional person do it.â
He has a JD and worked as a judge advocate in the military. A large percentage of politicians were lawyers before they got elected. So how exactly are they not qualified to conduct the hearing themselves?
Geniusâthat is such a cosmetic surprise!
No one will guess the reason behind this decision.
How many votes from the GOP on the Committee went to David âI Am Collateral Damage of MeToo and I Will Join the Trump Legal Team When Invitedâ Boies.
If I were Ford, Iâd sit there and state that I wouldnât answer any questions aside from my opening statement unless I was being questioned by a Senator like how itâs been done since the beginning. Grassley hiring outside counsel is a naked attempt to shield the GOP from bad optics.
If I were Avenatti, Iâd release all the info I have immediately.
Yeah, I think weâre all pretty clear on that, Lindsey. Youâve kept them in the closet for a lot of years.
These gawd dam COWARDS have hired someone to prosecute Ford!!!
What a bunch of disgusting, hideous idiots!
Whatâs HER name?
Cillizza is a moron.
Theyâre just afraid if they meet her in person theyâll wet themselves
ââŚthe Anita Hill thing.â
Iâll just leave this here.
Avenatti is not interested in getting information out, he is interesting in being at the center of the narrative. In doing so, he is helping to put Kavanaugh on the Court.
Part of why Ford and Ramerez look credible is that they were both dragged into this. Anyone who Avenatti (perhaps I should call him âdilletantiâ) puts forward after several rounds of media teasing will be tainted from the start.
Dilletantiâs shtick is getting old at this point.
âThe all-male contingent of Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans have hired an outside attorney, a woman, to ask questions at Thursdayâs hearing with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey FordâŚâ
Leave it to a bunch of rich, white Republicans to outsource good-paying American jobs.
Perhaps the Democrats should hire Mr. Avenatti â he seems pretty up on his game and quite well-versed in the topic at hand.
ââIâm not big into my feelings,â [Graham] continued."
Great God almighty, we need a dance remix of that.
O for fuckâs sake!
A moron of morons.
If the GOP senators feel unqualified to do the tasks that go with their positions, they should resign right now (and turn in any law licenses they might still hold). Graham basically called himself âunprofessionalâ
If itâs a criminal proceeding, then why wasnât there discovery?
Theyâll find her from their binders of women.
Whatâs the collective noun for a group of morons, anyway? (I mean, besides âFreedom Caucus.â)
So-o-o-o the majority will have a lawyer âcross examineâ Blase-Ford?. Way to go GOP!! Winner!!
