Tennessee, not Louisiana.
It totally matters if he has to veto it. I mean, for one, you’re assuming he’d actually veto it.
Good One!!!
I am betting there are more than four. I would love to see the number grow to a veto proof majority, but I seriously doubt it will. Who knows though, hope springs eternal.
Let’s see how ‘brave’ your fellow Cons are Lamar…after all they just voted en masse to confirm the Coal Lobbyist to rape the EPA.
That is correct, but I note that it is a potential solution precisely because it completely avoids the Senate. Once again we are dependent on the Judicial branch to save us from this insanity.
I’m not sure about that. The Kool-Aid drinkers definitely have an air of kamikaze around them.
Fun Fact: They didn’t actually drink Kool-Aid laced with Valium, Phenergan and cyanide at Jonestown. It was grape Flavor-aid.
Accept no substitutions.
I admit it would take a special kind of jackass to declare a national emergency then decide not to pursue it, and Donald Trump is a very special kind of jackass. But not all special jackasses are of the same kind, as Sister Mary Elizabeth used to say.
What’s wrong with a constitutional crisis? It’s not like we don’t have mechanisms for handling them.
Now that he just kicked Kim Jung Un’s ass he is ready for anything.
I’d like to point out to Sen Alexander that “you knew this job was dangerous when you took it.”
Putin will have to explain to him what a veto is. We might as well just admit that Putin is president.
Note: He’s from TN, not LA.
Hey, It’s Lamar Alexander R-Tennessee not Louisiana
Thank you, Speaker Pelosi! You have forced the GOP to go on record with their support for this president, and that support is visibly crumbling. Given the news of the last 72 hours, i expect many, many more GOPers to follow suit and abandon their oaths of loyalty to the Dotard. You have steered this nation toward the end of #45’s time in office. Thank you!!!
I’d distinguish between how they talk and what they’re thinking. No matter how revved up and wild-eyed they come on, there’s not a person among them who isn’t always thinking about how every vote and statement affects his or her electoral chances. If they’re in purple districts or states and need to be able to tell the voters they support Trump when they agree but differ when they don’t, because their first concern is the welfare of their constituents, that’s what they’ll do. There are not that many true believers in Congress. Lots of cowards, sure. Believers not so much. They’re looking at his numbers, and their own. I’m not sure of much but I’m sure of that.
This whole presidency is unnecessary and unwise. But hey, blame bad advice, like Lamar!
