Tillerson walks backs Trump’s BS.

Tillerson is so out of Drumpfie’s loop that I would take his reassurances with a grain of salt.

Unless, of course, someone has already implemented a fail-safeplan in place to ensure at least a couple of layers of safety between Donnie’s mouth and the football . 'Cause he’s just insane enough to go right off the rails at 3 a.m.

ETA: Of course, the NK Baby apparently now is within reach of his new toy, and he may just wanna try it out. So even if we’re “protected” somewhat from Donnie, there is no indication there are similar controls in NK.

Please don’t insult my memory of Alfred E. Newman with pictures like that.

It is in trying times like these that I am sure Alaskans long for the day when Sarah Palin was their Governor. Why, she could even see North Korea from Alaska!

They should at least practice…

I love how the monkey with the bomb incinerates himself.

I am updating the old philosophical question about the tree falling in the woods

If an impotent Secretary of State makes a statement, does anyone actually hear it?

Any word for the former half term governor?

Guam?

Seriously?

If, in his wildest rhetoric, Kim can only dream of threatening Guam, then I’m a little less concerned about the prospect of him hitting the continental US.

(And, yes, I still take the geopolitical and nuclear threats that NK represents seriously. But it’s clearly not an immediate threat, outside of the risk that it will fuel Trump’s lust to use a nuke.)

Colbert is a bit concerned too, and has better props. And what’s wrong with 24% of Americans polled.

I heard one Republican foreign policy maven suggest that it is unlikely North Korea is going to launch a weapon at the US because they aren’t crazy, but I wonder if the same can be said of the US. I am not so confident that either of these dick swingers can be expected to be rational.

The worst thing that could happen to N. Korea is for them to achieve “total victory.” If the US pulled out of the peninsula and S. Korea said “we surrender”, N. Korea’s communist government would collapse within 6 months. They have to be excluded from the outside world and they have to have an enemy inorder to exist.

Omitted from the clip is Drumpf pointing to France when asked to locate NK.

What this means is that the politicians in alaska want a bunch of federal money for missile shields to nowhere.

If North Korea did launch a missile toward Alaska Trump would blame Lisa Murkowski for not voting for the health bill.

He said he’d have to ask Putin.
