What a lovely man. He wasn’t as progressive as I’d like, but always a gentleman and seemed to care about moving things forward at Fox.
RIP–a sad reminder that he and Michael Kinsley originated that unfortunate role of “punching bag liberal” and irreparably harnmed the image and presentation of liberal ideas.
Sorry, the What ? on What?
There were lots of zeros on the stage when Alan was up there. The ones on his checks and the ones between his legs.
Poor, Poor Faux News. Their token liberal died. Now they’ll have to get another.
Maybe Obama wants a part-time job?
To all the haters, he was who he was. Faux may have selected him because of his mild personality, but there were plenty of times he gave as good as he got. I’ll miss him.
As a regular listener of Alan’s radio show, I am stunned and saddened. Bon voyage, Alan!
“Alan Colmes, The Liberal Voice On Fox News, Dead At 66”
How can they tell?
Decades of being exposed to and arguing against hate and ignorance shortened his life. Thank you for your efforts and RIP.
Tacky! Tacky! Tacky!------------but it made me laugh. Thanks.
RIP Hannity’s punching bag.
I like the term “punching bag liberal.” It is very descriptive of his role at Fox.
I guess Fox will now hold an audition for a new “punching bag.”
That’s the “liberal” voice.
Rest easy, regardless. You tried.
He served as Sean Insannity’s punching bag for years. I can’t understand why he continued. The pay must have been really good compared to other gigs he could have had.
God willing, I will somehow manage not to hear whatever tsunami of smug condescension Hannity unleashes in the guise of a remembrance. But you know it’s coming, if it hasn’t already hit.
Didn’t every watch him and can understand him maybe thinking offering the other side on Fox might help, but seems like it’s more effective to just let them continue to move further right into complete irrelevance like Rush has. The right wingers watching are to dumb to realize anything he said showed what Hannity was saying was nonsense.
