Lying Southern Gentleman of the old school. Knows exactly what he is doing. He thinks we will accept his excuses for why he loves Wallace. Bet he was the guy who came up with the idea of ‘saving money’ by shutting down the driver’s license bureaus.

Gov. Wallace recanted his racism and in his last election won much of the black vote. I think that the League of the South would kick out Gov. Wallace if they remembered his later stands on race issues.

If they want to secede,I am all for it. Vaya con Dios! And take TX, MS, GA, the northern half of FL etc. with you. Give us back our Army bases while you are at it, and arrange for Austin to be something like West Berlin before re-unification.
Of course there are millions in those places who would be most unhappy to stay there. But there would be millions here (the ones who cheer Donald Trump and Kim Davis) equally unhappy. Easy! For every homophobic bigot in our land there will be a thoughtful and humane person in theirs. So exchange populations.(And take the Donald too — we in NYC have had enough of his erections all over the place.)
Then Trumpistan can founder in its bigotry and ignorance and try to make it without the subsidy that we in the Blue states provide. In 20-30 years they will be drowning in their own stupidity and Mexico will annex them ---- no, I think (like Trump says) they are too smart for that.
I am really tired of living in the same country with the likes of Howdy Gowdy, Louie Gohmert, and company and the knuckle-walkers who elect them.

As an aesthetic aside: The portraits of the Wallaces were painted1969 by Dmitri Vail. But on aesthetic grounds, I would not hang them either-anywhere.
