Lots of people who are really nice in person to other people they consider to be of their class/group do seriously not-nice things to people who they consider second-class or not quite human. My grandmother was sweet and thoughtful and kind, but you probably didn’t want to hear her opinions about the “darkies”. (Or her cousin’s opinions about “the jews”.)
Alabama has become a third world country and should be under Federal Receivership with their congressional representation suspended for 5 years or till the fumigation is complete. Within the last few years a reporter was JAILED for a story that embarrassed the powers that be. Absolutely disgusting and shameful. They need a little more ‘reconstruction’ as far as I’m concerned.
