Yeah, I’d say some remedial training is needed. What grade do people learn about MLK these days, anyway? Are those who created this poster smarter than a 5th grader?
good grief…
from those sailors who couldn’t navigate (apparently that was the actual cause of them drifting into iranian waters) to this, is the pentagon actively seeking people with no fucking common sense whatsoever…

I didn’t realize the Air Force had planes so fast, they can go back to fight battles 50 years in the past.
How about canceling the event altogether!
It’s the south! He’s probably been removed from their history books and replaced with something like “misguided agitator”.
You have GOT to be fncking kidding me.
There was no malice of forethought in the flyer’s creation and it was never the base’s intention to portray Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., in a negative light.

But the September 11 Jenga Tournament is still on.
So Mrs. Lincoln how was the play?
In Georgia, no surprise.
Considering how many complaints there have been through the years of right-wing evangelical indoctrination within the AF, this is not the least bit surprising. I mean, it’s not like the Army and Navy are hotbeds of liberalism, but the AF command structure seems to be particularly batshit crazy.
I knew the guy who produced the commemorative pocket knife for the World’s Fair in Atlanta. He was surprised that Mrs. King turned down his offer to produce a commemorative MLK knife. People sometimes live in entirely separate worlds.
How many of those Air Force people do you suppose were from Georgia? In The Mason Williams Reading Matter there’s an exchange that goes,
He: “What’s he got that I don’t have.”
She: “Awareness.”
He: (Pause) “What’s that?”
It’s not a regional thing.
