We are definitely in the age of Trump.
When you ask the US Air Force to be active on Twitter, and God only knows why you’d want to do that, you’re going to end up with Twitter-quality discourse out of it.
Really, I don’t know what anybody expected.
EU say FU to tRUmp:
I clicked because I played A-10 Tank Killer on PC as a kid, and would recognize that plane anywhere.
Am I supposed to know what Yanni or Laurel is? The article could have included a brief explanation.
Oh, they ain’t gonna do shit. There is no one in Western Europe who has dared to step up and decide to tell this worthless, goddamnable “administration” to fuck off. Not even in diplomatic politesse has that message come through.
Europeans are weak. Dissembling, disorganized and deeply afraid of the United States, as best summed up with this pathetic post from NATO’s Secretary General:
Forgive the phrasing, but the bitch slapping they’ve all lined up for and go back in line for another one, is motherf*cking infuriating.
Leaving aside the question of why the USAF is on Twitter at all, I like the original tweet. And it’s true. The A-10 is a lethal aircraft. It’s also cheap to operate, and the Air Force brass has been trying to kill it for decades.
And, no, I don’t have much sympathy for the Taliban who might be on the other end of its fire. (Yes, I am aware the innocent civilians are killed, sometimes, although I suspect mostly by drones. Clearly, however, the tweet was not celebrating that.)
shouldn’t that be “defense” spending? or perhaps they mean that damn fence spending.
Who are Yanni and Laurel?
A better tweet would have been “A10: a goofy smile wearing sunglasses, an erect winged penis flying upside down, or a terrifying instrument of death?”
I don’t get it. What’s so awful about it?
From the headline, I assumed the tweet actually came from the A-10 pilot. Now that is some aircraft i thought…
Pilot? I say let the aircraft tweet!
Tell that to Jamie Fox and Jessica Biel.
There are so many things I would like to say to Jessi-errr… >.> hang on, drooling.
