Discussion: Aide Told Christie Details From Dinner With Main BridgeGate Figure

Discussion for article #222697

Wildstein was concerned about his reputation? Did he expect that the knife to his reputation was going to come from his old buddy?

Bridgegate?
Superstorm Sandy Cleanup Gate?
Pension Fund Gate?
State Trooper Investigation Gate?
Public Bully Pulpit Gate?

Nah, way too many coincidences. Not!

I might be getting my chess pieces in this sordid tale mixed up, but isn’t Drewniak the guy who fabricated the whole BS traffic study story and told it to the NJ legislature?

You’ll pardon me if I find anything he says that in any way might exclude the governor’s knowledge in this suspect if that’s the case.

No, that was Baroni.

Wildstein might be an insecure little man but it sounds like big bully Christie is afraid of him.

I believe you are right about that; at the time, he was not under oath, and I guess he took that as a license to make up whatever cover story he chose. Unfortunately for him, Foye completely contradicted him shortly thereafter.

I read that Drewniak also testified before a federal grand jury just recently. I hope he has gotten his facts together before he ends p like Scooter Libby with nobody who has the power to help him particularly interested in commuting sentences or issuing pardons.

Ooops, I see from a subsequent post that it wasn’t Drewniak, it was Baroni. Hard to keep the liars straight without a program.

Ah yes, Baroni. See…lots of chess pieces. Thanks.

I have a pretty strong feeling it isn’t so much Wildstein himself that scares Christie, but what he knows and what he would reveal if he ever gets the immunity he’s desperately seeking.

Wildstein screwed thousands of people and now he’s worried about his reputation? He’s a true solipsist…as are most politicians.

Typical " I have no recollection" , “I don’t remember that meeting”

“Someone dropped the ball” , " mistakes were made" excuses made

popular by Al-Fredo Gonzalez… and the coterie of Bushies with memory problems.
