Local news might see these guys but once. They aren’t concerned about getting turned down for a future interview because of some tiff that occurred on the previous outing. That and it might be some local talent’s best shot of making a name for himself and getting noticed. You better believe if Andrea Mitchell or Dana Bash made a habit of jerking Junior’s pants down around his ankles on national TV their offers for an interview would dry up pronto.

Persons in the news or immediately adjacent to it were once hunted down for soundbites, interviews demanded. If no interview the news went forward without that person’s thoughts, the story didn’t stop with an interview refusal. News proceeding forward usually loosened the tongues of the formerly silent…

I keep getting flashbacks of Bernie Madoff and his sons whenever these Trumpsters are shown hawking their dad like he’s some kind of product. They all think they can help lie his way to the Presidency, won’t take any questions that haven’t been vetted in advance, and have a total disdain for being forced to come clean now that journalists are on their tail.
I can hardly wait for the day when they chase these fuckers down a Manhattan street like they did with the Madoffs, to get them to respond without running away every time they hear something they don’t like.
