Brilliant advice, sir, that will NOT be heeded.
Hate to say it but that will push more GOP votes into the Yes column because they live to bash Obama.
Thanks Mr. President…but with all due respect, NOBODY in Congress listened to you before. They lied and whined and btched to everyone that would listen and you didn’t use the bully pulpit to pound them into the ground. I know that’s not your style but it’s what they respond to.
I will note that this man, himself, never said one word defending himself from Trump’s vicious slander of his good name, but speaks out when the health and lives of so many millions are at stake.
Yep, was just about to say something similar. As much as I agree with Pres. Obama, this may solidify any wavering Reps. in the GOP spite caucus.
Americans who love their country
Not a word in support of Russia!?! And he calls himself a President…
“If Republicans are serious about lowering costs while expanding coverage to those who need it, and if they’re prepared to work with Democrats and objective evaluators in finding solutions . . . .”
“If.”
Not bloody likely.
Whether he intended it this way or not, Obama just waved a bright red cape in front of a crazed, mindless bull that has a strap squeezing its testicles and a cattle prod jammed up its ass with the dial turned up to 11.
Come to think of it, that also describes the crowd at a Trump rally.
Shadow Government!!! OHHHHH! THIS IS PROOF!
Indeed… there are some republicans that may change their vote on their bill simply due to the fact that Obama spoke out. These goons are shameless.
Yeah that was my first reaction… gotta wonder, what’s his three-dimensional chess here if any.
Pres. Obama may want to force Senate Republicans to vote on it. Or, he may want to be on record stating the consequences of repealing the ACA so he can say “I warned you” later.
My thoughts too.
GOP Senators/House Idiots: Since Obama hates it, we will ALL vote for it.
Trump and Ayn Rand: Thanks Obama. Really.
And if they do pass it, it will crush them in 2018. But I’m hard pressed to think that is Obama’s intention, even though that would be the result.
This legislation will kill more people than were killed on 9/11. Who are the fucking terrorists, again?
Or was it Tomorrow Belongs To Me?
That was my second thought, after “oooh, some heads just got hot and have already reached seething”. But my third thought, was for those resisters who are now leery - not because of the freedom caucus - but because they are reacting to constituent please and Resistance efforts. To those waverers, it is a reminder that all of the added goodies (for the Freedom Caucus votes) have made this even worse care. Most of those left seething by Obama’s comments probably were going to act one way or the other based on their reading of their own coming teaparty primaries. However those wavering in more centerist districts may be moved. I think perhaps the effect will be a draw (even).
He spoke to Congress for eight years and none of them on the R side (and sometimes a few on the D side) never listened. He’s speaking from his very generous heart and over concern at what the country will suffer if the Rs have their way with us. If they don’t listen once again, that’s their problem.
