At this point – really, within the first 24 hours --the GOP report and its authors look like the foolish Trump toadies they are. Reminiscent of the infamous Nunes midnight run, and then the GOP memo that landed with a thud, this report doesn’t hold up. It was clearly a rushed Nunes’ whitewash – just in time to deflect the glare from Stormy Daniels – and he didn’t even bother to get total buy-in from his own party members before release. So one by one and bit by bit they are peeling off, displaying even more ignorance and mendacity that we previously predicted. They know in their hearts that they will face total humiliation when all is revealed. Meanwhile the Democratic Committee members are displaying competence, integrity and. indeed, patriotism in their interim progress report. The reckoning will come soon enough.
I don;t want Trump impeached, I want sealed indictments that are opened Jan 20, 2021 or so…
Put the fucker in jail for money laundering and influence peddling…
Hamstring his presidency and remove any executive privilege while dealing with criminal court system…
So the committee never interviewed Flynn or Papadopoulos, but members have no problem saying “Nothing to see here!” Either do a complete investigation or STFU.
It rises to the level of treason that the banana republicans aren’t doing their jobs and just carrying water for the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. They’re leaving our country open to another attack. It’s truly disgusting.
Comrades, all is well in Moscow West. Why so hurt feelings?
Besides, if Americans really want to see what’s in store for them, watch demo on April 8 in Hungary. We use same playbook for Trump and Orban.
In fairness to the “majority,” they really don’t have time for this.
They need to spend more time with their families. And their lawyers.
They blindfold themselves, shut themselves in a lightproof room, turn the lights off and then claim that they can’t find the score of black cats, which have been locked in, and whose tails they have been constantly stepping on.
I am quite certain the investigation will come roaring back with renewed vigor and diligence on January 21, 2019.
Run for office! Register people to vote! Then get out the vote this fall.
What I can’t understand is, how do they think their totally obvious coordination to protect the president over the nation is going look? In this day and age, where everything is recorded and documented and available to anyone with an internet connection…what does it say about these people and the decisions they make? Stupid and/or dumb? Corrupt and dishonest? Traitorous?
Because they’ve gotten away with it for 20 years, why not? I guarantee that in the coming 2 years, these same congressmen and senators will never be asked by a journalist “Why, after knowing he was a dishonest businessman, liar and in debt traitor to the Russians did you continue to defend and suck up to him? Don’t you think this interferes with your credibility sir?”
Democrats on the panel are also interested in obtaining documents from entities including Deutsche Bank and the social media giants that Russia used to disseminate false information.
So either the collusion was the GOP helping the Russians disseminate false information, because they’ve been doing it for years and wish to keep secret their methodology, or they learned how to better disseminate false information from the Russians and want to use their methods in the future.
In other words, the GOPers abused their power to deliberately scuttle any chance of oversight for political gain and should be facing ethics charges for what amounts to one of the single biggest and most dishonest sham-investigations in the country’s history. In any just universe, the Schiff memos would have hit the MSM and had people screaming for the GOPers’ balls for blatant abuse of power and corruption. Instead, it seems they’re being largely ignored because they so thoroughly destroy the idea that there should be any controversy whatsoever over the investigation of collusion with the Russians.
Like re-election in November. For them, doing anything other than this was viewed as political suicide.
