Discussion: After Arson Death, Israel Arrests Head of Extremist Group Terrorizing West Bank

Discussion for article #239052

“grandson of U.S.-born Rabbi Meir Kahane, Israel’s most notorious Jewish extremist”

The turds don’t fall far from the bungholes I guess.

Did they also level is home and round up a few dozen of his associates?

Will Israel also destroy the homes of his relatives as they do with Palestinian suspects?

The leading extremists in Israel are firmly ensconced in Netanyahu’s government. This extremism radiates from the head on down. This arrest is merely to placate the world’s criticism of the latest act of barbarism in the inexorable march towards a “Greater Israel” by the Israeli fundamentalist government.

Apropos that the craziest of the settler movement are Americans.

Just another Fascist thug hiding behind a veneer of racial entitlement. Hmmm, where have we heard that before?

There should be NO settlements in the occupied territories. Those territories are called “occupied” for a reason. I am a firm supporter of Israel’s existence but I reject the way they’ve handled this issue. There needs to be a workable two-state solution. Clearly-defined borders, officially-respected borders. Tough issues such as water rights, air space use, border-crossing, passports, etc., should not be difficult now … after all this time, it is unfathomable as to why they haven’t come to any real solutions – except for sheer political power and bigotry.

Just another terrorist using ultra-conservative religious dogma to justify their heinous acts.

Transplanted Americans are the most unsettled.

Meanwhile the ultra-orthodox continue to churn out kids like the Duggars teaching many the ways of militancy. It seems to have worked out so well for Pakistan. Should be a blast as the young men come of fighting age

The advantage for Israeli extremists is that these individuals are not trying to reach the holy land - they think they are already there.

Safe in America, I might add.

Killing in the name of Jesus, Allah, Jahweh or the God of Abraham, The Confederacy …

Yeh…totally honorable /S

To put it bluntly, these “extremists” are going Old Testament.

I have supported Israel as long as I have been alive, but tell me again why I need to support these extremist clowns and their barbaric vision of a “greater Israel?”

Extremists Jews and Christians are the same…they do not think the laws apply to them and are pushing for a holy war for reasons I cant begin to fathom

So, if a Palestinian doesn’t turn in one of their family members who MAY be involved in resistance to the occupation, they are labeled a TERRORIST and have their home destroyed (and them possibly killed in the process.)
But if a Conservative Israeli Jew is actively involved in TERRORIST activities, he is labeled a “Head of an EXTREMIST Group” and allowed to pontificate for the cameras before his HEARING to determine what to do with him.
Right. Got it.

“There is no terror organization, but there are many, many Jews, many more than people think, whose value system is completely different than that of the Israeli Supreme Court or the Shin Bet,” Ettinger wrote. “The laws they are bound by are not the State’s laws … but laws that are much more eternal and real.”
Just change the word “JEWS” to “CHRISTIANS” and "ISRAELI to “UNITED STATES” and “Shin Bet” to “Tea Party”
you have a Ted Cruz/Mike Huckabee stump speech.
Scary isn’t it?

I recall my parents being horrified at Meir Kahane. “He’s no rabbi!” they’d say. Little did they suspect that he and his spawn would grow into hideous terrorists.
