Discussion: After Another Failed Attempt To Repeal Obamacare, Trump Again Calls

Dotard!

You cannot even get a majority of your own party to pass this through reconciliation. The filibuster is not even in play. .

Not sure where his math is at. There are three senators against the bill, GOP I mean, which makes it dead.

Get rid of Filibuster Rule!

Also, make it so 49 votes is a “majority” !

Or no votes at all. If he can rule by decree, there will be few roadblocks to MAGA.

I know, that’s what floored me on this. It’s not that they couldn’t reach 60 votes, they couldn’t even reach 50, FFS.

It’s in Fantasyland, along with the rest of his bizarre beliefs.

ETA: Looking again at the picture with this article, I thought, I sure as hell hope that McTurtle goes down — it would be the ultimate karma that he helped elect a dickhead, thinking he could manipulate him, but who consequently, along with his own Senate troops, resists, undermines and ridicules him until his colleagues shitcan him.

Ultimate Karma. That’s what I am hoping for.

Given how nutso der Furor has been lately (even more than before, hard to believe), I suspect that more than one Republican senator would pause before voting to change the rules–they’re starting to realize that before too long they’re going to be in the minority again.

After the Alabama results, I don’t think that Trump’s tweets are going to carry much weight with the GOP leadership in the Senate.

Trump will soon be seen as impotent. Try as he may to deflect, the failure to get the cotes for HC repeal will be on him.

Next up, Gorsuch comes out of his hole to say that the Founding Fathers meant , in situations like this, to reconvene the Electoral College from the previous Presidential Election to vote on Obamacare Repeal.
The way things are going, Trump would probably lose that one, too.

Remember when the GOP faithful called Obama “Pharaoh” and “emperor” ramming stuff down GOP throats?

The Commander-in-cheat just tweeted another screed about Fake news. He’ll be back to the NFL and Hillary’s emails before long.

Also, how much of Trump’s Trumpcentric agenda do they want to be positioned to rubber stamp? Right now they have some cover.

For a businessman, Trump sure seems clueless about money. Every other advanced economy has much more efficient healthcare models to choose from, with the Swiss and Swedish models perhaps the most applicable. Both train more doctors per capita and deliver much better quality care at several percentage points of GDP less (like about 6% of GDP). Much better solutions already exist, we just have to apply them.

It doesn’t look like that would save it. But- neither party has moved to eliminate the filibuster rule because they don’t want it used against them when the majority goes the other way
Mr Trump doesn’t care because his view is strictly short term, strictly him. He does’t care what happens after his one term.

Saving money means that somebody making big money will make less money.

Everyone making big money now wants to keep making big money.
