No, it didn’t. Usually, he’s energetic and engaged. This was awkward, hesitant, and stilted. Worse, he was trying to seem Presidential, and yet started tossing in bathroom humor with the ‘no peepee’ line. It’s telling that even Hugh Hewitt, life-long Republican flack, basically said ‘this was weak, he failed.’

I predicted this earlier this afternoon. Trump is coming down off his manic cycle. He didn’t send out a single tweet for 20 hours, and when he did it was “I’m doing an interview on tv” and “i’m giving a speech tonight” kinds of tweets. And I predicted he’d go into his version of “presidential” mode, even predicted he’d use a teleprompter.
Guess we’ll hafta wait until later in June for the crazy to return!

Agree. The words were his usual load of empty promises, talk about how decrepit our country has become, and crazy exaggerations about Clinton.
When he comes out next week with his claims that the Clintons have made hundreds of millions of dollars (money donated to the Clinton Foundatiin), Clinton will be able to contrast Trump’s reluctance to make good on his pledge to veterans with a long list of large programs carried out with Foundatiin money.

I turn on the radio for 5 minutes and all I heard: “Hillary & Bill are crooks!” “They profited off the White House” and “The foreigner investors who paid them millions”, etc, etc, blah blah blah… I damn near drove into oncoming traffic, I was railing at the radio that much!!!
