Discussion: African Governments 'Alarmed,' Offended By Trump's 'Sh*thole' Remark

Sadly, Painfully you are 100% correct - Trump is feeding his vermin - and they love this - Trump is flat-out pandering to the racist bigots of his base - it is pure cold calculation - throwing raw meat to the angry mob - and calling Haiti and the African Nations “Shithole” countries is precisely how he wants to be seen by his base… and he knows they love hearing this.

It was only in November that our Shithole President pretended to honor Navajo code-talkers in front of a portrait of Andrew Jackson, known to most Americans as an “Indian Killer”, and who was responsible for the Trail of Tears under the Indian Removal Act.

At that same ceremony, in what was basically a non sequitur to that occasion, Shithole President, in his official comments went on to disparage a US Senator by calling her Pocahontas. There was no mistaking what kind of warped stream of consciousness he vomited from the podium that day, and why he did it. He not only insulted Native Americans, women and Democrats in that moment, he debased himself and turned the office of the President into another occasion for creating divisiveness in the country. The man has no internal censorship, no self-control. His impulsiveness, though being scrutinized here and there, has never been subject to consequences to any meaningful degree. That has to stop being the case. This cannot continue. This is an immorality that we can’t let define our country to the rest of the world either. He continues to be unfit for the office he holds. Republicans are delusional to believe he will still pivot or they’re of like-minds with this kind of prejudice.

But this is who he is, an intense racist, with a small-mind, an ignorant understanding of other people, and how they live their lives. He lacks empathy and has no concern for anyone around him. Just ask Puerto Rico. Its as if they’ve fallen off the map as far as he’s concerned.

I’ll be interested today in seeing which GOPers run from the cameras, which ones will make excuses for him, and which ones will pretend this moron is just being misunderstood. To say this moron’s racism and overt bigotry, by way of his administration’s policies, are happening with alarming frequency would be an understatement. The hardest part for me is watching an entire political party ignore what he’s doing to the country, day after day after day. Its just so unnerving…and it makes me mad, sad and disgusted.

This tweet I believe he actually did type and post himself. The FISA one, definitely not.

Well, it’s a prime reason the GOP itself has to die. It repudiates the most basic American values of racial tolerance, openness and equal protection under the law.

The “contrast” with Norway said it all. The Dotard apparantly wants to limit immigration to Northern Europeans. Just like the 1924 immigration law, based on “eugenics,” which Jeff Sessions has praised. Why Norway and not Japan? Or South Korea? Is it because of Norway’s blond whitey-whiteness?

Trump is an abomination - a fool at best - a deeply twisted potential dictator - with Putin-like totalitarian control aspirations at worst.

But the ponderous and fragmentary countering of Trump’s inane antics really becomes painful to watch. It is as though every opportunity to expose /take down this cancer is doomed by some glitch - some egregious, outrageous item appears to be about to explode - then it turn out to not have all of the dots fully connected - some critical details were overlooked - the case is not totally fully baked - there turns out to be some soft spot in the “conclusive” case and the snake slithers out to bite again. Can’t understand - it would seem that we are now in a time when precise & solid counters to Trump are imperative - but quite possibly that there is still a bit of a game of chicken going on - people may still be playing poker - trying to be the one standing in the best position when the music stops - maybe it has to get even more dire before real genuine self sacrificing collective efforts actually come to fruition -

Hey can I have the powerball Numbers for Saturday
CNN
President Donald Trump on Friday denied describing certain nations as “shithole countries” during a meeting where he rejected a bipartisan deal on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
“The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made - a big setback for DACA!” Trump tweeted.
White House spokesperson Raj Shah did not deny the “shithole” remark on Thursday evening, but instead said in a statement that Trump “is fighting for permanent solutions that make our country stronger by welcoming those who can contribute to our society, grow our economy and assimilate into our great nation.”
Trump’s denial came among a series of other tweets in which he defended his immigration stance.

It was Bush who earned Obama’s Nobel for him.

Liked your post, but you shouldn´t smear mugwumps by association with Trump:

The Mugwumps were Republican political activists who bolted from the United States Republican Party by supporting Democratic candidate Grover Cleveland in the United States presidential election of 1884. They switched parties because they rejected the financial corruption associated with Republican candidate James G. Blaine.

Henry Adams and Mark Twain were mugwumps.

This wins the award for least surprising story of 2018.

If you can access Eugene Robinson’s column posted last night on the Washington Post, the title is “Donald Trump Doesn’t Know What He Thinks About Anything Except that Africa and Haiti are Shitholes.”

Read as many of the reader comments as you can stomach, I only got through about 10 and they were overwhelmingly of the variant “Trump said what everyone knows to be true” or of the variant that Eugene Robinson is a racist who is divisive. You cannot make the shit up. I do realize that Trump and Putin trolls probably populate the WaPo comment section.

The other thing that you cannot make up is that when Trump heard the breaking news story about his shithole statement, he was reportedly filming his video message to America for the observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Trounce himself is a mixed fruit bowl of racial inconsistencies.
His wives and children are majority immigrant with African roots, like all mankind.
Cut into a Trounce and rainbow mud flows from their veins.

I say, while cooking up the phony health report, they may as well create a phony DNA test to prove what Trounce wants to project. He is Supreme leader White from the blanched side of outer Whitistan, AKKKA-Blancoburg.

Dear African Governments,

If it makes you feel any better - though I don’t know why it would - the majority of Americans are right there with you.

“As a member of the GOP, I just don’t understand why more African Americans don’t vote Republican”
[/quote]Well, first you have to rule out voter suppression, because that is a complete fallacy.
Theeeeeeen, you have to understand that the AAs just don’t get it. Republican love is deep and very hard to recognize. Impossible to see some are saying.

I can’t see many Norwegians or other northern Europeans clamoring to emigrate to the US right now.

Like my colleague in Oslo (and many others) said, “why would I leave Norway to live in a country that is regressing to third world status???”

Hard to ¨like¨ that, but thanks for posting it, never the less.

He would be unbelievable, if it weren´t for the fact that we keep witnessing it everyday.
