Violated rules? Pfffftt! SOP in Alabama.

Only political theater, unfortunately. Does anyone think that the bar would do an investigation that is any more than a joke?

I am delighted to hear it. Itā€™s still an embarrassment for the old goat.

Yeah, the Alabama Bar is of course concerned about ethical issues. Long live Don Siegelmanā€¦

You never know. The Alabama Supreme Court did bring the gavel squarely down on Roy Mooreā€™s pointy head. So maybe there is a ray of hope.

Nevertheless, as @cvilledem said, ā€œItā€™s still an embarrassment for the old goat.ā€

Sessions is in way over his head as AG. He is finding out that the type of reasoned excuses that get him off the hook in Alabama

"In a press conference, Sessions pushed back forcefully, however, on allegations he misled lawmakers. Though he testified during his confirmation hearing that he had no ā€œcommunicationsā€ with Russia during the campaign, when he was a top surrogate for then-candidate Donald Trump, Sessions defended his answer as ā€œhonest and correct.*ā€

arenā€™t working out to well in national politics. ( http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/03/09/aclu-files-ethics-complaint-against-sessions-with-alabama-bar-disciplinary-commission.html ) I will be surprised if Trump doesnā€™t fire him if his rank incompetence continues.

Thatā€™s why heā€™s earned a hat!

(P.S. If anyone could photoshop this and make it urine yellow with red lettering Iā€™d be forever indebted.)

Does he belong to any other Bar Associations?
Maybe in DC?

It still keeps ā€œthe pot strirredā€ and causes consternation for Trump and his gang.

How would Trump recognize ā€œrank incompetence?ā€

Yes I do. Lots of cloaked bigotry in the TPM comments sections when it comes to discussions of anything Southern ( hint Trumpā€™s from up North ) . The Alabama BAR is like all of them. They are loath to take down one of their own frivolously but if itā€™s merited theyā€™ll do it.

One mosquito isnā€™t too bad. But if you have every been caught in a swarm, different story. I say, keep hitting them from every angle in every way possible!

If Sessions canā€™t do a better job of covering Trumpā€™s ass then he is doing covering his own, thatā€™s rank incompetence as far as The Donald goes. He showed his followers that he rewards loyalty by ā€˜hiringā€™ Sessions, He will show them he will not stand for incompetence and get rid of Sessions and put in the type of AG he really wants ( http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/news/a46616/dont-mess-with-roy-cohn/ )

Alabama and the rest of the country have at least one thing in common, they know what perjury is.

Aaaah. My membership dollars at work! And in this case, at least, not to be opposed by my tax dollars on the other side.

Cynicism over the ability of one of the most prominent civil rights organization in the country to do anything is at the least discouraging and at worst a surrender to the inherent bigotry of this administration.

Does this mean that complaints can be filed in other states, then?
Surely he would be sanctioned in one of them!

I am not a lawyer, but apparently reciprocity hinges on his bar membership in Alabama. If Alabama membership is rescinded, then logically the linked state memberships, like dominos, should fall. Perhaps a lawyer in the group can better clarify this.
