Discussion for article #244238
āYou know, we talk and talk and talk but they donāt seem to get out, and I want them out. I want people to be able to analyze them and talk about them.ā
And while theyāre at it, we have a new shipment of velvet āMe & Jesusā paintings at reduced prices!
Sounds like Carson has as much control of his campaign as I do.
I want people to be able to analyze [our policies] and talk about them.
Be careful what you wish for, Ben.
"You know, we talk and talk and talk but they donāt seem to get out, and I want them out.
He just reallyā¦ REALLYā¦ doesnāt get it ! ā
In a way, heās right his that policy ideas havenāt got much attention. But thatās at least in part because he hasnāt been running on issues, heās been running on his personal life story, which turns out to have been embellished in some rather bizarre ways. And it turns out that along the way heās picked up some pretty kooky beliefs ā pyramids as granaries, Chinese military in Syria, women who have been victims of rape and incest who seek abortions are like slaveowners, and so on.
So of course the media are going to focus a lot more on all of that than on his basically unremarkable conservative policy platform. Yeah, heās anti-abortion, heās for lower taxes for the rich, yada yada. So what, so are all his Republican rivals. Itās not his campaign staffās fault no one cares about his policy ideas, itās his fault for not having any policy ideas that are anywhere near as interesting as his various gaffes and quackeries.
āā¦not a culture of control.ā
Donāt worry Dr. Benadryl, when it comes to your campaign, I donāt think you being in control is an issue people will accuse you of.
Not getting your policies out there was probably the best thing that guy ever did for you, Ben.
He wants his campaign to get things done, so he fired/replaced actual experienced professionals with a rank amateur.
Yeahā¦thatās a sure fire way to move the ball forward.
I predict Iowa is disastrous for him, and NH is even worse. He drops out before even going to SC.
Yummmmmmmmy-------Grilled Carson.
Pairs well with ToxicTea
and Rabid Fox.
ā¦and for dessert: imPeaches and sCream!
I will enjoy watching his campaign implode.
That painting in his home of him and Jesus as if they are tight buds bothers me.
Yes, but you know better than he does why the campaign is not going well.
Initially, I wondered why this waste of carbon is getting airtime at all. Then I read the candidateās response and I see that Benzo took the bait. To blame the staff for failure to get his message out, instead of simply praising and thanking him for his hard work and leaving it at that, is just the mark of a clueless, classless, piss poor leader.
The truth about Benzo is that the more people learn about him, the weirder he strikes approximately everyone. Staff didnāt brag about Benzo stabbing his friend or bludgeoning his mom. Staff didnāt call a presser to discuss Joseph dumping grain into the pyramids. Staff didnāt make up and and double down on the claim that the Chinese military are fighting in Syria. Thatās Benzo, Carson and Ben.
It isnāt clear whether he did any hiring or firing, who was in charge of the campaign before the departures, or who is in charge now.
Very reassuring, when you think of Carson scaling up to handle the Executive branch, US foreign policy, and civilian control of the Defense Dept.
Itās only the tip of the iceberg.
Jesus, too. Looks like that āportraitā deserves some divine retribution.
He wanted more policy issues out? Interesting given that Carson doesnāt seem to express any real policy ideas beyond following Fox News.
Take a look at this Washington Post article, it basically explains why there was no policy ideas: he doesnāt really have any.
Only his hairdresser (Armstrong) knows for sureā¦
My favorite is still the āpoverbsā inscribed over the fireplace.
