This election is like real-life dark speculative fan fiction. Speculative, as in “What would it look like if… [now let your mind run wild]…?”

What would it look like if a narcissist were to run for President?
What would it look like if objective knowable truth didn’t matter any more?
and now…
What would it look like if another country were to attempt to hack our democratic process?
What would it look like if supporters of a power we’d traditionally been at (cold)war with— or in a testy relationship with— were to promote its head of state over our own head of state (or, for election season potential head of state)?

Alas, truth IS stranger than fiction.
