Discussion: 'A Request Was Made': Navy Admits Someone Wanted USS McCain Hidden For Trump Visit

Ass-covering time. “We didn’t move any ships from their formation.” Well no shit, the USS John S. McCain was under repairs and wasn’t going anywhere.

So I guess they’ll start a “witch hunt” to find the person who made that request?

So now we’ve come back around full circle to yes a request was made to hide the fucking John McCain.

Good god Are they going to hide Meghan Markle from him in Britain?

UNintentional efforts, however…

This is a total blow-off. the 7th Fleet Commander should be canned, along with his deputy. They knew and gave the orders.

This sort of blow-off statement is meant to deflect it down to some poor enlisted guy who got the instruction to keep anything with McCain’s name on it away from the ceremony, and carried out his orders.

This was an insanely childish thing to do. No question. But receiving disproportionate attention considering Rome is burning all around us, and my question is why? Trump being childish is a dog bites man story if I’ve ever heard one. Is it because John McCain remains beloved by Washington media even after his passing?

After the DOJ, Republicans weaponize the military.

We want names. Who called from the White House, and who played toady in Japan?

No. But I suspect a few timely “headaches” or colds. DJT may be meeting the Duke of Earl for his official royal visit.

Just have to identify who the WHMO briefer to C7F (White House Military Office/ Commander 7th Fleet) was in the briefing mentioned in the original e-mail.

Should be a powerpoint presentation and everything to go along with it.

I don’t know - he already insulted her once so if I was them I would send her somewhere.

Because overt politicization of the military is the next scary step on the Road to Turkey.

To me, the biggest scandal here is that military members were ostracized and blocked from seeing their President because they came from the “wrong” ship.

That’s a really scary step. What now, republican members of the military will refuse to serve in a unit or on a ship that is named after the “wrong” person?

The Guardian quoted 45 as deeming Markle “nasty.” Isn’t that just special, right before the state dinner in Buckingham Palace where Prince Harry will help host?!

It is situations of this sort that give passive voice a bad reputation.
