Please stop referring to a supposed āDemocratsā structural disadvantagesā including āDemocratsā clustering in urban areas in the House.ā Itās not a structural disadvantage; itās just a gerrymandering problem.
Picture a state with a population of 1 million people and 10 congressional districts. 600K people live in the big city and 400K live in rural areas. Picture ten districts consisting of 10 slivers of the city with 60K voters each, with each district fanning out into the rural areas, bringing in 40K rural voters. Voila! total dominance by urban voters.
Perpetuating the myth of urban clustering as a structural disadvantage gets in the way of fixing a fixable problem.
