New drinking game:

Each time the media uses the word “defy” or “defiant” to explain this administrations illegal actions with regards to Congressional Oversight…Drink.

I am going to be on the floor playing this game for rest of the week.

“They want to know every deal I’ve ever done”
Correct.

Once House Dems lose a bunch of court battles over their subpoenas I guess we can all submit to the fact the President is now King. No oversight by Congress is his goal, and he just might achieve it, Constitution be damned. The Constitution is whatever SCOTUS says it is, and right now they’re Trump’s sock puppet, so there you go.

The best defense is to be as offensive as possible.

Poor poor Trump self-pitying… (Third person AGAIN! Cringeworthy!)

If they’re going to defy duly issued Congressional subpeonas, it will be time to start locking some people up. But hey, maybe they can build a Donald J. Trump wing to the lockup where all of his staffers will be held. He can put his name on it in big letters and everything.

They already have. And we haven’t.

If your deals are so fucking great Mr Art of the Deal, you’d be proud to show them off.

We just went through the Mueller witch hunt, where you had really 18 angry Democrats that hate President Trump. They hate him with a passion.

Is this insane sh*thead aware that HE is Donald Trump?

Who will receive the largest share of the blame for killing democracy?

My current pick: Mitch McConnell for the installation of Gorsuch via “what are you gonna do about it?”

Even if one SCOTUS Republican Protector grows a tiny conscience, the ongoing existence of the republic comes down to the ability of RBG to outlast the moron.

Here is how this plays out. All of the subpoenas, even the question of whether or not Congress has any Constitutionally granted power to have oversight over the Executive Branch, will be decided in Trump’s favor by SCOTUS. Maybe, at the point, establishment Democrats will realize that 5 of the 4 justices have given up on the Constitution in favor of authoritarianism. By then, of course, it will be too late.

If events hold true to form Dems will figure out a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and they’ll be saddled with the blame.

Those words can have a noble connotation. How about “subvert” “subversive”

I agree with this completely. When the first few sycophants start cooling they’re heels in the slammer for a while, I think they’ll be a sea-change in how subpoenas are viewed. But not before.

the natural evolution of 30+ years of republican assault on the Constitution

the Senate is broken, tyranny of the minority (population wise)

the courts are stacked (wildly successful McConnell ratfucking)

congressional oversight has been defanged for Democrats

unitary executive branch under this maladministration

is this what a Constitutional crisis in the US looks like?

if not, oh shit
