The Senate GOP NO Health Care bill is a total disaster and will leave millions of Americans WORSE off that they’ve ever been in their lifetime.
One has to ask the GOP, why do they insist on cutting the LIFE out of the people they are suppose to keep safe and serve? Where is the hatred for their countryman and woman coming from? These GOPers are even harmful to American children too! WHY BITCHES?
See, there was this guy named " Obama"…
Seriously, a lot of it is pure greed, a lot of it is anti POTUS O and a lot of it is apathy toward those in need. The GOP and their base, many of whom are in need, seem to revel in making sure those who normally get a little, get none. The middle class is an afterthought, I think they like to screw over the “poor” because that has incorrectly become a dog whistle.
Strange cycle.
The Goopers won’t care. Facts are inconvenient, but ignorable – unless, of course, you are up for re-election and they will work against you. But otherwise? Meh…
I keep trying to tell people one of the reasons “Obamacare” is not as strong as it could be is because one political party has always had this as an end goal.
Because they can. Because they spent the last 7 years flapping their jaws, never ever anticipating that they would actually have to deliver. AND THEY EVEN ADMIT IT!!!
So, now it’s just an attempt to save face trying to show they weren’t just windbags, no matter what it costs them.
They are exactly where they should be. At the bottom of a very deep hole they dug for themselves from which there is no escape. Poetic justice at work.
Good bye, troll.
Remarkably, many of these people will be re-elected because the very same people that they directly hurt with this legislation will vote for them again. If your senator(s) vote ‘yes’ for this bill, and you vote ‘no’ for their re-election… they will not be able to hurt you any longer.
I wonder if Scalise has hit his lifetime cap yet? Oh, wait. Under the ACA there isn’t one. Some might say he “dodged a bullet” on that one. Thanks Obama.
Much has been said about Medicaid cuts, but modifications to employer coverage such as the reinstatement of annual/lifetime caps or removal of the requirement to provide health insurance have not garnered much attention. While Medicaid may seem distant to many (its for “those” people), many voters will sit up and take notice if they realize the Senate Bill could adversely impact their existing employer coverage, which most folks are deeply attached to. This aspect of the bill needs to be emphasized and made personal - that the bill will affect many more people than just Medicaid recipients.
LOL – the troll lasted exactly 1 post before the ban-hammer crushed his cyber-weenie. See you in late 2044, troll!
In many ways it is worse than the house bill. The impact on employer based insurance is something that needs to be explored further. Too many people think that they are safe because they get their insurance through their employers.
Boy I’d love to have an income 350% of the poverty line…
from CNN
Washington (CNN) Republican Sen. John McCain said Sunday that he thought his party’s health care bill was on course for failure.“My view is it’s probably going to be dead,” the Arizona Republican said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
…
(((loud snicker)))
Like Republicans actually care how many they are killing. Its all about the tax cuts to them, and damn the consequences.
Karma can be ugly. Very ugly. The GOP wanted to damage the middle class and the indigent and I so hope that all of us remember what they tried to do come the next election. Remember everyone, this is a lot more than a health care bill. It’s a massive tax bill meant to redistribute enormous amounts of wealth to the already wealthy. The more income you have the LARGER your tax break would be… not the other way around. The GOP, to me, is anti-American to it’s fetid core. All of 'em. Though some are far worse than others. They say they are the party of all of us but they aren’t. And right now they have a strangle hold on the majority of state legislatures, governors, and all 3 branches of national government. The voters have none to blame but themselves for this. It’s gonna take at least a generation to turn this around. If ever.
Because it’s really easy to win elections and entrench the rich if your whole strategy is to shamelessly lie to stupid people who only care about their guns, fake patriotism, and the idea that no matter how horrible their life is - somebody (non-whites) are going to be worse off than they are if they vote ®. That’s basically it. This healthcare plan of theirs is the most nakedly transparent demonstration of what the Republican party stands for. Unfortunately, Fox News exists so expect a significant chunk of our population to believe it’s going to help them.
There is no idea so stupid, so cruel, so backward, and so unfair that Republicans won’t support it. The worse, the better.
The cost of his hospitalization is well over one million dollars by now. The multiple surgeries and time spent in ICU is extremely expensive and he remains in the hospital. He deserves the highest quality care but is damn lucky there are no caps. We all deserve the same.
