Discussion: 7-Year-Old Immigrant Girl Dies Of Shock, Dehydration While In Border Patrol Custody

This isn’t the border patrol’s first rodeo. They know what people have been through getting to the border with not much food and water. This is a horrible for this poor little girl and her father.

a culture of cruelty within CBP

a culture of cruelty within the GOP (the party of hypocrisy).

Thank goodness millions are being spent on troops at our border. We certainly wouldn’t want that money to go into better facilities and training.

I saw this article on Yahoo and all the commenters were blaming the father for putting his daughter in that situation as opposed to the Trump administration for making border crossing as painful and dangerous as possible.

don’t blame the BORDER PATROL for this, they do the best they can with what they have.it is tragic…who knows how long the child went without food and water before they even got to the border.??

If we are going to arrest families at the border, particularly since we know what they’ve gone through to get here, we are responsible for checking their condition and ensuring their safety. Children in particular should be examined by medical staff as soon as possible. There is no excuse for this little girl not being checked for 8 hours. This is a tragic example of America separating families at the border, permanently.

Oh please…not after eight hours… I DO blame BP.

Horse shit. Who doesn’t give a little girl a glass of fucking water? Hell is not hot enough for these jackbooted thugs. Fuck them.

This is a feature, not a bug, for Trump and his inhuman immigration policies. The little girl’s death is DIRECTLY on Trump and anyone that continues to support him.

The boarder patrol knows. These people have been in a desert. Give them water.

You might guess that the Border Patrol would stock their vehicles with a few gallons of Gatorade to treat the dehydration and hyponatremia caused by exposure to the Chihuahuan desert that they patrol. You would guess wrong. The P*resident shows these people what a shithole America can be with his fearless (from behind his SS bodyguards) leadership.

What does shutting down the government do to boarder patrol agents and all this stuff?

FK trump and all Republicans for this travesty.

There are still 130+ kidnapped kids being held by DHS.

Nobody is going to jail for any of this.

No democracy, no justice.

Some humanitarians have been leaving cases of bottled water in the desert to help save people, but ICE removes them when it finds them.

Another cruel and preventable death brought to you by the Christian Culture of Life Party.

The Republican’t Party: Because Jesus was only joking when he told us to Welcome the Stranger, since 1981…

Most likely they are deemed essential employees, so nothing happens. They get to continue being paid for their cruelty and inhumanity. (Somebody has to have enough money to buy all of those MAGAt hats…)

Ordinary citizens in the US often carry water with them in case they run into someone in need. People also stash water along known routes in the States for people migrating.

Yes, you can’t blame the BORDER PATROL. They are merely following orders, like the guards at Auschwitz, Dachau, and Buchenwald. Blame the people who gave the orders, starting at the very top. Blame the people who made a lack of compassion and common human decency standard operating procedure. And when you get down to the BORDER PATROL, blame them for going along with it.

I posted about this yesterday evening after I heard about it on cnn. I was ready to blow a gasket over it. There’s no excuse for mistreatment of people looking for asylum, none. Is water now too much to ask for?

Hell is too good for these people.
