I heard this news on NPR this morning (Philly market) and all I could think was that there is no more pieceofshit more deserving of being ousted by his own state.

Too bad the good folks of NJ are still forced to pay his salary, his non-state business transportation and his personal security detail while Kristie Kreme “finds himself”.

Man, whatever political capital Christie once had, it’s alllllllllllllllllllllllllllll gone. He’s so done. Don’t even bother to stick a fork in him.

I’s hard to watch that smarmy son of a bitch standing behind Trump with a look of feigned sincerity, for what? A VP slot? That’ll be the day. This idiot has sold his soul, if he ever had one.

He’s been a very poor Governor, but I’m not for a recall unless he’s proven to be corrupt or somehow incapable.

Ultimately, it’s for NJ voters to decide, but recalls are expensive and time-consuming. Sometimes when you make a bad decision, you have to take your lumps.

That being said, I’m all for a resignation.

Given all things Christie, its odd that this is what got their gander up.

Recalls usually fail and leave their intended victim in a stronger position. Scott Walker comes to mind. It’s over for Christie anyway…just let him fade away.

But while I’m here…what’s with American parents naming their kids Chris Christie or Hugh Hewitt?

Completely agree.

“…he rejected the very principles of his campaign that attracted our support.”

That last line is a real knee slapper. If the Republican primary and the rise of Donald Trump has taught us anything its that Republicans, of all stripes, have no principles of any kind. Trump is the first presidential candidate to publicly curse, yet Evangelicals LOVE him. The guy’s said if his daughter wasn’t his daughter he’d “date” her for Christ’s sake.

" Christie bent his knee."

Now that burns.

Sadly he has too much ego to resign (and he’s the governor of my state, I’d love to see this).

As if anyone needed more proof that he is a craven opportunist, trying to align himself with what he sees as the center of power.

A pitchfork maybe, or harpoon even.

I think that Trump is just floating a trial balloon with Christie to see which way the wind blows. (hedging against fat jokes hard here)

So far the wind is blowing at gale force against the Christie idea.

Trump needs some sap to step up and reduce themselves to the lack of self esteem it would take to run with Captain Clownhard. It would not be an honor to be Trumps back up Bozo and would basically be the kiss of death. Christie, or others with nothing to lose, make the most sense.
