What did Obama and Hillary know and when did they know it.
Five more dead Americans Mr. President.
More blood on your hands.
Friendly?
A couple years back we were headed to Maui (used up all of my points from ten years on the road) and a newly wed couple was in line.
He had on a t-shirt from a marine outfit, Helmund Province.
When he went to the can, his wife and she didn’t want him to re-up, afraid for his existence.
Once on the plane, we lobbied the head stewardess to have them upgraded to first class where we could see from our seats, that there was a pair of empty seats.
The joy, brief as it was (five hours) they felt from that gratis, was immeasurable.
I think about that young woman’s expressed desire now and again, hope he had the good sense to leave the military.
Nice story Robman. When I got back from Vietnam in '69 I moved to Vermont. One day I picked up this 18 year old kid hitchhiking. He was on his way to Rutland to join the Army. Twenty minutes later his mind was changed. We had lunch together and I drove him back up the mountain after getting what I needed. He got a construction job and a year later was a full time student at the community college. A memory still with me 45 years later.
Exactly what I thought Republicans would be asking when I heard about this!
I was out of tech school, like many, was itching to go to Viet Nam. Off base housing was temporary, at the Moulin Rouge, an old school hotel in North Vegas ghetto.
My room mate was a staff sergeant, just back from Nam, he told me that I did NOT want to go there, leaving out the details. When orders came through, I was always red lined (critical career field, assigned to the F11A which had yet to be certified). I was lucky and understand joining but, would not advise it as a first choice either.
