As John Oliver pointed out futbol is a organized religion and FIFA is it’s church “it’s leader is infallible, it can compel South American countries to spend money they don’t have building opulent cathedrals and it may ultimately be responsible for causing shocking numbers of deaths in the middle east.”

You knew this whole outfit s corrupt when they chose Qatar for the 2022 World Cup. This is a place where the temperature during the summer is 120 degrees. Also Qatar has no soccer background. Now, FIFA wants to shut down the European seasons for over a month while they hold the Cup in December. these guys at FIFA knew they couldn’t hold it in Qatar but voted for it anyway thanks to millions in bribes.

Thanks. I was trying to come up with reasons why I should care, and your post helped me do that.
Maybe it’s time for the leagues themselves … La Liga, the Premier League, Bundesliga, MLS, etc. to bond together and create a replacement organization, the same way the United Nations replaced the League of Nations.
