“The fear is that these leak investigations will be used as a form of political retaliation” against leakers who have personally damaged Trump, she said. “We don’t want this to become a political witch hunt.”
Oh, trust me, it will.
Nope. Didn’t miss any of it.
After Singer’s White House visit Thursday, Trump took his change of tone as a sign of broader national unity.
One example of a single billionaire hedge fund manager.making nice with Trump is evidence of a broader national unity?
“Paul just left and he’s given us his total support.”
– Trump
I doubt it.
Thank you Peter Alexander! More of this please.
Fine-tuned machine.
I disagree with the people who witness his blathering and see Machiavellian long game “statergizin” - I see and hear a gold plated narcissist with the obvious beginnings of some form of dementia. His reduced vocabulary and his constant confabulation are classic symptoms - he sounds just like my father-in-law sounded about 2 years before we had to institutionalize him.
The impromptu press conference in the White House East Room was a classic Trumpian spectacle: Loud, chaotic, and, perhaps, designed to distract.
Perhaps the Sun rose in the East this morning. He may be unbalanced, but he’s still an expert at the “long con.” What I find amazing is the number of people who are still taken in by him.
Quite possibly, based upon my 1:1 work with patients having dementia. Others have speculated similarly:
Crazy? Or does Donald Trump exhibit signs of early dementia? Seriously.
Just to put a cherry on my previous comments, this is the third president with the obvious beginnings of dementia that the Republicans have handed us in the last 40 years.
Remember Reagan’s confusion about whether he was in World War II or whether it was a movie? Remember Bush shucking and jiving when he nominated his secretary for the Supreme Court. Now we have Donald who is so obviously confused about reality and what he thinks he has seen on television. This is organic brain disease folks.
May we actually do a thorough background check on Trump, including tax returns. The nation’s security depends upon it.
@birdford— Presidential dementia should be called Trump Syndrome since he publicly exhibited symptoms so early…
past use of controlled substances, history of alcohol abuse, and other factors that could compromise their ability to serve the president.
Did Bannon just get a free pass?
“Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.” - Sun Tzu
Any way to speed this up?
One obvious overlooked issue that stuck out like a sore-thumb but failed to gain much attention, was that Trump no longer believes that the Mexicans will pay for his wall. One more instance of Trump bearing false witness to his supporters.
“I can tell you … nuclear holocaust would be like no other.”
“to be honest, I inherited a mess, a mess, at home and abroad, a mess.”
“The press has become so dishonest that if we don’t talk about it, we are doing a tremendous disservice to the American people,” he said. “Tremendous disservice.”
“ISIS has spread like cancer, another mess I inherited.”
@poorcitizen His has 75% support among his base, and he has only a 37% approval rate among his opponents and only 39% say he is well informed…
5 Overlooked Asides You Missed In Trump’s Epic Press Conference
Umm… Matt, it wasn’t us who overlooked them:
The 8 Craziest Moments Of Trump’s Impromptu Press Conference
I continue to maintain that Trump’s repeated desperate pleas to become friends with Russia combined with the Russian media’s sudden abandonment of him is a big overlooked part of the presser. Did he cross a line when he tweeted about Russia having “taken” Crimea? It sure sounded like he was trying to send a message that he didn’t mean it.
